Good contact with industries, such as ABB, Volvo, etc 2. Good professors who are willing to help 3. Good educational system that is still free of charge to international students» - Comperehensive/ elaborate and practically oriented » - The practical orientations of the courses specially Power Engineering Design Project and also the fact that students have opportunities to do their master thesis with world class companies. » - Many of the teachers int the Master programme in Electric Power Engineering are very active and very easy to talk to and ask questions. They are interested in explaining and having lectures, particullary in high voltage courses and electric drives courses. » - Lab assignments Knowledge of different software» - High voltage engineering, power system operation and power market» - good laboratory and simulation support of the theories.» - It is indepth in coverage and it is very relevant to the current trend in all aspects of Electric Power Engineering» - have a lot of opportunities to practical work, like study visiting...» - High voltage engineering is excellent» - 1.Course organization is outstanding. 2.Working environment is very pleasant. 3.All teachers,staffs,native swedish students are very co-operative,friendly and helpful.» - the course structure tools and software used in some courses design projects» - It helped me relate my theoritical knowledge with real life application through lots of practical work, projects, laboration, study visits, guest lectures and more indepth academic studies.» - Large choice of courses in electric power engineering, "human" size of the department» - very practical » - Courses are well organized with adequate content. » - .» - group activities» 16. Please state some important aspects of the Master programme in Electric Power Engineering that you think should be changed*- Everything is fine. »- The pressure of the courses.The content of the courses compared to the time they are tought is so much.That is why the learning efficiency decreases» - » - -lack of professionals who are the best in their fields » - 1. Employ more influential professors in various electric power areas to increase the research quality and the reputation of the department 2. Look for more fundings to keep the sustainable development of the department. Things such as shutting down the high voltage lab should never happen again. A shame on Chalmers and the Swedish government. I, as a student of EPE, take the high voltage lab as the symbol of the department.» - There should be a day slot free per week for the participants to be organised and digest what was taught.» - Not to my best knowledge, am happy where it is now.» - Unfortunately the power electronics courses didn"t have very good lectures.» - Some small assignments with industry would help a lot» - Power electronics. Give a chance within for students to select other courses within the department» - more courses should be added so that students have choice of courses» - All aspects should be retained» - give some more spare time for student and let them think by themselves» - Power Electronics. The work load is too high. There should be a possibility to select courses within the department» - 1.Already 2 corses are running on HVE.More courses can be added. 2.FACTS and wind turbine technology is not covered in details 3.15-20 days industrial training attachment during coursework would be helpful and attractive.» - Matlab introductory course should be added » - Nothing» - Not enough courses about how a company works, not enough labs» - if they can provide more research works for master student, it would be better.» - More project work and internship opportunities.» - .» - nothing very especial» 17. Was there anything that you missed or lacked?*- There are many courses available, but unfortunateley there was not enough time to take all that courses.»- electric drives and power electronics was great.» - » - -lack of power system automation» - I think the program covers most relavent aspects of the electric power area. As the matter of fact, I believe control theories, especially control theories applied to power systems, should be included in the future courses. » - Yes all the subjects were presented in a detail form» - All subjects were well covered and I cant remember an instance where I lacked any competence because of any weak-ness at the department. » - No, not really» - Subject did convered well» - Yes I lacked the appreciation for protection as a power engineer. Also, power system design was lacking» - no, but usually the load is high» - Yes, subjects were well covered.
