3. What do you think about the content and scope of the course?

Do you think that any sections could be removed or do you have any suggestions about sections that could be added? Do any sections need more or less attention?

- It is OK.»
- i think if you like to show the computer programs for LCA you have to set up more time for it»
- I think it could be talk about more in practice.»
- Everything was relevant, and the focus of the course seems relevant as well. However, I have not attended many of the lectures, so my opinions are based mainly on the course literature and meetings with the supervisor during the LCA project.»

- The exercices in the beginning were very useful since you got direct feedback and there were discussions about methodological choices from which I learnt alot.»

7. Did you find the lectures well-structured and easy to follow?


- Only attended Anne-Marie Tillmans" lectures, and only a few. The lecture room was long and narrow so I had to sit in the back and it was hard to follow what was presented on the powerpoint presentation and hard to hear what she said. So very ahrd to follow the lectures. However the course literature was excellent and well related to the lectures (at least according to the few lectures I attended), so it has not influenced my learning (I hope). »
- Very unenthusitiastic. They both look bored by what they were doing.»
- The letters in the slide is too small to see, especially at the back of the room.»
- Tillmans lectures are hard to follow. One has the impression that she is not fully prepared for the lectures and the results are hesitant tries to do lectures. Mostly the lectures were just a waste of time, as the book provided the exact same input. »

- It is a little bit interesting to look a bit into the software, however 4h is way too much time the last week when we have so much to study anyway. So I left after an hour, not because I"m lazy but because lack of time. You have to plan your time to maximize your learning. I heard it was a lot of problem since the program didn"t work as it was supposed too.» (No)

10. The project


- It was too large a project. Very time consuming, and it would be ok if there would be no examination. However, I believe an exam is needed since I feel I could not work according to my standards and ambitions in this project. Therefore an exam is needed, so I can get the grade I feel I"m aiming at. The collaborations didn"t work well because of different ambition levels. However, it"s good to learn how to cooperate with different people, since that will be the case when you"re out in the reality. So I think random groups are good, but it would work with less friction if the projects were more comprehensible.»
- The group work is the most helpful part of this cource.»
- It is difficult to know what is expected from you since you have never performed an LCA before. For that reason, I would have liked more specific feedback based on the level of ambition of the group. I think that the level of ambition should be stated in the beginning so that one could get feedback based on that. Feedback like "you are on the right track" and "it looks good" does not really say anything if you are aiming at higher grades. The cooperation of the group worked fine but it is easier to perform a good job in groups that already know each other or in "premade" groups since you do not need to consider cultural mismatches. I find the latter good but it does not feel OK when it affects the results. »
- There should be a hands-on-consultation for the calculations. It is hard to know if they were done in the correct way and the grades were given based on the results of the calculations. »
- Ridiculous to think that the project can be performed within just the schedule hours, especially if one aims for a mark higher than pass »
- Very different amounts of work effort needed for the different projects. Some projects may need to be narrowed down to include less questions to answer.»

- very nice ! Learning by doing is the most efficient and it"s very interesting to work in group because many discussions and agreement have to be done between groupmates.»
- I think in the end everyone (most groups) end up doing the way they though they should, teachers could have been more harsh »

11. Further comments on the project?

- It was good, but we had a problem to finding new data»
- There are many different ways to make the project, it is quite hard to make all the group members make an agree for method. It also waste lot of time to make an agree within in group, so I hope it can be solved later.»
- Make the lecture easy to follow plz... It is more like a note or summary...»
- It was a big projekt but god for learning.»
- The best project work I"ve done at Chalmers so far! I recieved a great understanding for the entire LCA process, something I could not have attained simply by reading the book!»

- It is not fair to allow some people to chose their own groups and others not to. I can understand why you whant to chose groups and get a mix of people in the groups but I do not think that it is fair to grade the project in that case since students have very different ambitionlevels. »
- Too little time for the presentations. Skip the opposition part or give it more time, as it was now I think it was less interesting.»
- opposition only from students is constructive but not that much. we are olny students and make we dont really know what is really right. why did not the theachers say anything?! I was supper disaponted only a grade does not mean much. »
