Genomsnitt: 3.73 - The course and its content gave me a macroscopic view through materials properties which was new and interesting.» (Excellent) 14. What should definitely be preserved to next year?- the group project»- The small group assignment was a good way of seeing how the theory could be used in reality» - The project» - The CES program and the examination methods.» - of, course- the use of CES. This provided valuable knowledge» - The assignments and the project work should be preserved.» - The assignment» - The individual assignments were helpful to be in touch with the literature for the whole course period» - The project work.» - In general, it"s good to be examined in different ways, projects, written examination, assignments and so on. This is definitely somtehing that should be kept the next year. » - all, i think it"s a good course» - The lecturer(examiner) and the way he taught us.» 15. What should definitely be changed to next year?- it was a little ambiguous what is expected in the individual assignments, but they help us to learn.»- Easier access to the program-CD and Lars.» - The structure and orginasation was a bit bad at times.» - Keeping to the schedule better. If the lecture was to be shorter that i would have liked to know about it beforehand. » - More time in class to work with the project with teacher present.» - how to apply and use the trade-off surface in the CES» - nothing» - Maybe there could be a better and more thoroughgoing introduction to the CES software. » - » - In the beginning it was hard to know what the focus in the course was about, and exactly what you were supposed to learn. It would also be good to have a better introduction of the CES programme in front of the class, or in smaller excercises. » - nothing» - No examination was needed. If something to be done with the examination, it will get better, especially when students see the course as project base course.» 16. Additional comments- It"s important to say that "indices" is the plural of "index". This caused a lot of headache in our project and took several weeks to figure out :-)»- good, interesting course, I don´,t regret that I participated in it!» - In the end, the written exam was well done, and corresponded very well to what the teacher said was the main topics in the course. » 17. How did you evaluate the CES programme?- Interesting to work with and an efficient tool.»- Very good, have used it in other courses now.» - it is helpful even in other courses.» - good» - It was rather good.» - good. But it would have been good to be able to draw more than just one line on one graph to better simulate how it is done in practice. » - Very useful. Didn"t understand the point with indices fully.» - Very good» - Excellent» - Once you knew how to use it it was good and helpful in the project as well as in later projects in other courses.» - In large part very useful in order to come to an appropriate material/process decision » - Rather easy to learn and understand.» - The programme was rather easy to understand and use. » - it"s a good programme» - Perfect, Although we are far away from those days in the past, I can honorarily show the others that I have the ability to work with this and also I have a copy on my computer.» 18. How did evaluate the project work?- It facilitated a good group work for discussion.Different and interesting topics was represented by students.»- good» - it was a good opportunity to work with fellow students with different background. the group dynamic was good and helped us to learn from others.» - good» - As stated above, I thought it was very good» - It was very good to use the knowledge in practice becasue i learnt and understood it better. » - It was a good project assignment. But we started to work on it very late (our own fault of course), so we should be forced to start earlier (the teacher checks every now and then how the process of the project is going)» - Good» - quite interesting and helpful for understanding the CES programme.» - A little fuzzy at first, but then it went smooth» - was interesting to find propper materials for a special application. On the other hand it was quite time-consuming to come to a common consensus with all group members» - Made you understand» - Good, but it"s was hard to know how far we were supposed to come within our project. This could be clearer next year. » - it"s very interesting» - It was great since we came up with priceless conclusions.» 19. How did you evaluate the assignments?- good»- as in 15.» - Don"t quite remember them.» - The first assignment did not give much since it felt like just revision of material science...probably good for some students but i had just done that course so it did not give me much. » - Good. They were adequately difficult and very relevant to the project.» - Good» - They are well connected to the key points we learnt in class.» - I didn"t do them since I didn"t aim for any higher grade.» - mentioned above» - Good to have assignments. Maybe it will be better to hand them in earlier, which means that you can get feedback of what you have done correct/wrong before the written examination. » - they were a little bit boring but interesting» - They were great, they made us to deal with litrature to great extent.»
