- I mostly used the book to look up things but the index was bad so it was hard to find the topics i wondered about.» (Yes)

- The book was very helpful for the cryptographic course and this has helped to understand the thinking in this course. So maybe not very useful for this course specific» (Yes)

- The book is a bit confusing at some parts, like the WLAN and IPsec parts. It dives in to details about certain things (SAs in the IPsec) without actually describing in a good way why before. It gets very difficult to understand that detailed information without first gaining a broad overview of the topic.» (Yes)

12. Did we spend unnecessary long time with some topics (should we reduce number of slides and/or increase speed next year)? Which?

- I did not like so much text. I understand, It was there for our info but when preparing for exams you tend to prepare everything and it was hard to cover all the lecture slides purely because of the number of slides per lecture and then the amounts of text.»

- I don"t know if the certificate lab actually provided any good knowledge. The firewall lab was really interesting! That lab gave me practical knowledge that I used on my own machine at home later, as well as it gave good knowledge of how a firewall actually operates.» (Good)

- I know that the purpose of having it is good. But I tend to think it"s just more work for nothing with having it that way, and it just makes that lab more difficult to struggle with.» (Adequate)

- One formal report is not so sufficient. Maybe more lab reports but not so formal reported.»

- If you use a LaTeX template. Dont include all those packets. We tried to compile it on three different computers without success. - I would prefer if you stay for 5-10mins in the lecture room after the lecture. Some people prefer to ask questions in private so they can be more detailed» (Rather good)

- One of the best courses I have attended on Chalmers! Tomas Olovsson knows what he is talking about and presents it in a good and understandable way.» (Excellent)
- I think it"s pretty much what I expected from it. Learned a lot of interesting stuff. Reall good!» (Excellent)

- Improve slides More interactive lectures would be better. Make student answer by asking them directly. One of the teacher in another study period did it and it was really great. You learn more when you know you have to go through last lecture because teacher may ask you "what did we study last time"»

- Maybe the certificate lab can be made "funnier" for the students? The guest lecture were not very interesting. I had higher expectations of it. It felt that it turned out to only be some "show off" for him and it was pretty hard to follow what actually happened "under the hood" of all commands he entered.»
