- A lot of trouble with the theoretical assignment... but hopefully nothing that will occur next time» (Very badly)
- The excercises should be available a couple of days prior to lab sessions so one can prepare the labs. The theory assignment didn"t show up at all. Both should have been prepared by the teacher before the couse started.» (Rather badly)
- For example, computer exercises should be uploaded before the exercise starts.» (Rather badly)
- It took too long to get notes up on the page. One part of the exsamination never came up. One week is too little time for the types of hand ins given» (Rather badly)
- Documents for the labs and the theory assignment should have been up earlier, if at all.» (Rather badly)

- The only thing that could be improved that I can think of right now is that the texts for the exercises could be up one day before so you could read it through. It is nice if the four hours can be used in the most efficient way» (Very well)

- Better coordination between the teachers whould help. Following a text book on the subject would also help self studying.» (Adequate)
- Could be much better though! You can clearly see the potential, both examiners clearly know what their talking about.» (Adequate)

- Everyone who attended has taken solid state physics and computational physics. Build upon that!
More lectures early in the course, fewer towards the end.
Better possibilities to prepare the lab sessions.»
- Perhaps cut out some of the theory and instead dig deeper into a few methods. Show more examples! And perhaps have one lecture on Python?»
- Move more lectures to the beginning of the course, spread the home assignments better and remove one or more so that there are not double handins every week. Take a look at Computational Physics for examples of how this COULD be done.»
- Lab-PM earlier so one can prepare.»
- I think the lectures about pseudopotentials and the PAW method should be made a bit more basic and accessible, since I remember that alot of students had trouble understanding this rather tough matter.
Considering the home assignments, it seems that some (i.e. the silicon exercise) are quite tougher than others, which is unfair since all exercises have the same weight. Also, the week of the project report deadline and presentation lies before the final week of the home assignments. This means that students doing the first three assignments + one project are, in a way, only given one week for the project, whereas they should be given two.»

- DFT is still a "black box". Would have liked to know more about how it is implemented, not just a survey of the topic.»
