- There"s no way in the pingy pongy page to see which handouts are added recently or even when they are added. It takes longer time to figure out which documents I have already downloaded and which I need to download. Selecting all makes me have to download more than 50 Mb to a zip file that I have to extract and then select to replace or not replace the previously downloaded files. Then I have to delete the files. After that go to the trash can and empty it. Many steps. In the beginning it seemed very fuzzy what we were supposed to learn. Too few exercises.» (Rather badly)

- Lab reports could increase the learning outcome since one has to deal with the topics in more detail.» (Low)
- There"s not much challenge in this course except the exam. It"s the old fashioned non-mandatory lectures, labs and exam structure. I would like more active learning with challenges (problems to be solved, questions during the lecture to the students). Use the pingy pingy page to make mandatory midterm tests that can be autocorrected. Studies has showed that repetition and challenges greatly increases learning (really good, fun instructive reference that I recommend you to see: http://www.ted.com/talks/ken_robinson_says_schools_kill_creativity.html ).» (Adequate)

- I have found this course interesting (and here comes the mandatory but) but I would have liked to learn more practical things. If I was put in charge of constructing a component today, I would not feel secure that my construction would survive long. » (Good)
- Best thing was the hands on experience in the labs, that helped to understand theory in a better way» (Good)

- Some of the labratory sessions are unnecessary for example the cup painting. It would be better with shorter more intense labb sessions. »

- Would be good if any possibility of reducing the degree of overlap with other courses due to the block schedule can be found.»

- Totally the course was great and I learned a lot»
- Instead of making cups, make a design task where we"re supposed to make a properly designed part (mechanically, geometrically, surface wise, etc). Mandatory midterms. It"s not necessary with bonus points but that it is mandatory and that it could reduce the load of the exam. I"m also studying corrosion this period. The corrosion exam questions are somewhat easier and only 11 to do in 4 hours. 24 questions in 4 hours means that stress and time will decide the grade...»
- Fun course.»
- It"s been real good studying at a company as swerea to see what a material interested person could do in the future. Swerea took good care of us. Really interesting with ceramics! I always had polymers and metals in mind.»
