- Mostly, the time for the project. Even though it in the beginning seemed to be much more work than 20 hours/week, it was enough with scheduled time and a little more for reviews and commentary on reviews.» (Around 20 hours/week)

- The actual content was completely different...» (The goals clearly describe what I am supposed to learn)
- The goals are clear, but they do not at all describe what I am supposed to learn. I guess this was what was meant to be... but during the first lecture we were told there were changes. So, the goals did not fit at all to the course that we actually studied?» (The goals clearly describe what I am supposed to learn)
4. Are the goals reasonable considering your background and the number of credits?Answer this this question and the succeeding one, only if you do know the course goals.5 svarande

Genomsnitt: 2.2 (bidrar till totalt genomsnitt/jämförelseindex) - The whole course seemed like a mess. First, the course content was totally different from what expected and specified in the course PM. This was a huge disappointment and led to frustration. Also the organization was very chaotic. Follows an extended list of what was bad:
- Course Name is "Design of flexible and modular automation systems". The course was not about automation systems, neither about flexibility. It was rather "analytical improvement of serial lines".
- the "project" was just solving tasks of the book. this was more like home assignments and not very demanding. You could also call it "boring".
- At the beginning of the course, it was said that the project would have a share in the grade. At the end, it was just passed/failed. Consequently, a lot of work was put into a project that nobody wanted to do, but anyway did to achieve a good grade. At the end that effort was worthless, leading to frustration and anger.
- At the beginning, a test exam was promised. At the end, this didn"t take place. Also the last session before the exam was really short and we were left surprised and with question marks.
- we had no idea how the exam could look like and felt unprepared and confused.
- the exam itself was then totally different than expected and the questions did not feel fair.
- We were promised that we did not need to learn any formulas, as they would be given in the exam. Eventually, we needed some formula for the exam anyway...
- The lecture material was not adapted to the course. The lecture just used someone other"s presentation. So there were slides not needed for us. The consequence: The lecturer often started to tell something and then said "well, no we don"t need this, this is not important" and went on. It sometimes felt he saw the slides for the first time when showing them.
- we did not really train to solve the problems on our own. The solution always was: Use the software tool. It can solve everything for you.
- much more I cannot recall now...
- In summary: CHAOS!!!» (Poor)
- But this course really need to be upgraded.» (Fair)
14. What should definitely be preserved to next year?- Tutoring. The only thing that was good about the course.»
- The exercises.»
- project»
15. What should definitely be changed to next year?- Either fill up the course with more content, or change the name of the course. Yes, we did design automation systems, but where was the connection to flexibility and modularity?»
- EVERYTHING!
- make a project that has relevance. something practical, not only theory. Possible to use the PPU lab?
- Make your own slides for the lecture!
- comments on reviews are unnecessary and just take time. if there is opposition to projects, just let the group notice it and let them decide what they do with it. they don"t need to justify to anyone why they did or did not do something.
- keep your promises. if you specify something at the beginning, make sure that also happens!
»
- The project should be complemented so that it is not just calculation of serial lines. The course name is: "Design of flexible and modular automation systems". Flexible systems? Have not seen, I think. Modular systems? No... Automation systems? To what extent has it been automation? I have rather studied a course about calculations on serial production lines.
What about labs in the PPU-lab?
»
- the structure. Rewrite the course information or add plc into the studies when written in the information»
16. Additional comments- If this course is not radically changed, it should be deleted totally. As it was now, this is no solution!»
- good course but could be better. »
