- Considering that students from an engineering physics background already have studied solid state physics this course should give something more than just a recapitulation of (although be it more thorough than) the previous material.» (No, the goals are set too low)

- The exam was very vague in its format. Many questions vere of the type "describe..." which leaves room for interpretation. It was possible to achive well despite not having studied the course well. It was also possible to rely heavily on the course in solid state physics from the bachelors program. The level of difficulty varied greatly between the questions despite having the same number of points attached to them.» (No, not at all)

- His lexture notes were good, but the book was not so good. Would need a bether book,» (Some extent)
- The book is from the 1970s and needs to be updated. A lot of focus is on old semiclassical models and aproximation techniques which are of little relevance of today with quantum physics and modern computers. Students of today don"t shun a thorough quantum mechanical derivation.» (Some extent)

- Arriving late, leaving the room during breaks, leaving early and making oneself generally unavailable is not a good way of creating opportunities for questions.» (Very poor)

- A better blackboard usage on the lectures. Have a more structured lecture so you can follow when you read your notes afterwards. »

- Föreläsningarna borde förbättras lite. Mycket bra med föreläsningsanteckningarna men vissa delar borde beskrivas tydligare och göras mer lättförståeligt, tex tau-approximationen.»
- Teacher should be empowered (with an Assistant) in some classes, why not putting some exercise sessions in the course?»
