- The course book is well written but the presentations are suffering on a lack of motivating teaching skills. The exeption is the teacher who talked about pulp mills and other stuff at the beginning and a bit later about HEX network. The whole contant should be presented in a way like he did!!!» (Small extent)

- Not everybody learns better from going to class than from reading. I prefer reading, and with the great course litterature you have, you should tell people that the same information is gone through in the lectures as given in the litterature.» (Great extent)

- The demo lectures are maybe what can be improved til next year. Everything else in the course was very well planned but I got the impression that the demo lectures were not, not always. Maybe it is better if the teacher demostrate the whole exercise and then people can ask question. - The TA Matteo has not been to much help, only saying if the result is wrong, but poor guiding. I went to viktor andersson or elin svensson and there got help.» (Poor)

- It definitely interesting to see what the course contents can be used to, but I can"t say that I learned especially much about industrial energy systems from it.» (Very interesting)

- Getting away from school is nice for a change, but we didn"t do much there but to sit in their conference room and do calculations. This is something you can do at school. But it WAS interesting to get the guided tour.» (Good but could be improved)
- The tour through Renova was not very good, we could not hear what our guide was telling us. But when our teacher stoped at the heat pumps and took over the mike it was interesting. The exercise, when we used their actual data was good. » (Good but could be improved)
- The tour could have been a little more informative. It would also be great if the tour guide would be confident in speaking english.» (Good but could be improved)

- DIfficult to see where he wanted us to come. And too long to do all the background/foreground methodology in 4 hours in a raw... It would have been better to split it, because it was to many new things at the same time.» (Moderate)

- sometimes Matteo could be quite unpleasant. Laughing at us when we asked him something. He didn"t listen when we asked something, he just assumed that we were asking something we didn"t and started explaining the wrong thing. But in the end we sort of got to know him and how he is and then it wasn"t too bad. I just know that he made some people upset when being rude. » (Moderate)
- Matteo was good, but he would save a lot of time by being a bit more patient to listen to the full question when helping out. Quick to assume and interupting the question with an non relevant answer.» (Moderate)

- Mixing both chemical and mechanical engineers can sometimes have bad effect. My personal view was that everything was up to the "mechanical engineer". What i want to say is that these both groups are at different level when it comes to exercises.» (Very well)

- Much have already been covered in earlier courses, but the rest was interesting.» (Fair)
- The Pinch Analysis is a very useful methodology. Even if I am not sure to use it in the future for a thesis or a job, I am really happy to know how to apply it.» (Good)
- I found the course really interesting. There are always things that can be better but overall the structure is quite good. Only some minor additions in the litterature and some restructuring of the lectures are needed. » (Good)

- The litterature, the projects and the lab at Renova. Extremely good for learning. Also I"m impressed by the questions and solution guidelines that you put up on the web page. Gives a good structure for repeating the course material. »

- Litterature: Better description of the absorption heat pumps, better illustrations (the ones from the Renova lab was way easier to undertand). A better description or illustration(placement of temperatures and such) of the evapiration unit. The illustration is hard to relate to when reading the text. The heat pump improvements (i.e. subcooling the medium and returning steam after expansion) could be more thoroughly explained. Lectures: The litterature is excellent, just let people know in the beginning of the course that the same material is treated in the litterature as in the lectures. Not everyone learns more efficiently by going to lectures over reading the litterature. The lectureing time can probably be cut by half. I (for example) don"t know about people from chemistry but the students from Sust Energy Syst definetly know how a steam cycle works. There are a lot of new things regarding the pinch point analysis. In the introduction of the foreground-background analysis just repeat the difference about composite curves, the balanced composite curves and the GCC and shortly repeat how they are built(cascade diagrams). »

- The Renova lab was interesting but it felt unnecessary to solve calculations while sitting in a room in a waste-to-energy-plant. I think a regular study visit without these calculations would be more interesting to most of the students. »

- I hope that Elin will get some more sleep eventually, when her baby is getting older. I felt sorry for her when I was tired and had slept like 8 hours and she told us she had been sleeping for 4. ,-)»
- The economy part of the book is good for getting a good understanding of how real investments are handeled and I think that you shold keep it. A lot of the information is not used in the course though. It could be good to mention this in the lectures and tell us what equations to focus on.»
