- I have not taken the exam myself yet because i had to leave for my home country but i have looked at the questions in exam and they seem perfectly reasonable with what we have been taught in the course. I am looking forward to take the Exam in january after coming back to sweden.» (Yes, definitely)

- I feel tht there is a bit of a gap between the lecture content and the exercises used for the examination. The tutorial sessions were not of much help, it was mostly Eva calculating chosen exercises. It was somewhat difficult to get questions answered.» (Some extent)

- the lectures themselves are good, the tutorial could be better. The lab session is interesting and fun. However, Abel is insufficiently proficient in English to be a lab supervisor. It is hard to understand him talking at all, which of course reflected to the learning outcome of the lab sessions he conducted.» (Adequate)
- It could have been made more good if it would have focused/designed for Electromagnetics part only. Addition of photonics and Quantum mechanics part is just too much. But that is my personal opinion.» (Good)

14. What should definitely be preserved to next year?

- Electromagnetics part and Related home Assignments were fun to do. They should be remained next year.»
- The lab session, especially to hologram part, the lecture style with a lot of use of the blackboard and the hand-ins giving possibility to earn bonus points for the exam.»
- From the theory point of view, everything seems resonable and should be preserved.»

15. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- Spectrum of the course should solely be focused on electromagnetics only. Quantum mechanics/ photonics part could be fit in to separate courses.»
- Start the lab session sooner so it does not interfere with the exam studying towards the end of the quarter. The quantum mechanic session in the last week is problematic since one has hardly any time at all to read up about it before the exam. Not only Abel but also Eva speaks English on a level that I consider insufficient for a teacher.»
- The six hours straight pass should be changed to a more reasonable pass...say 4 hours and 4 hours on mondays.»
- The derivations. Were rather frustrating to me, since i couldn"t follow the teacher while i was writing down the notes from the board. Maybe someone should have said "Don"t write down everything on the board, it"s in the book". The labs --- almost half of them where a waste of time.»

16. Additional comments

- Doing almost 8 labs and then writing 10 pages report with no additional points in return for the final exam is harsh, specially when it takes a lot of your time.»
- A more in depth introductive tutorial to vector analysis (maybe only for students that dont have the required background in this field)»

- In my opinion, such a long lab report is not absolutely necessary. It might be better to prepare for each part of the lab by doing compulsory home assignments. Then, one will come to understand the principles but not spending too much time on writing the report.»
