14. What should definitely be preserved to next year?

- I think that the exam was very good and represented the course material well.»
- The course project is really useful for applying the theory of the book. My project supervisor, Chris, taught us very patiently and everything ran very nice. »

15. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- Start the projects earlier so that you can finish before next quarter begins. In the handouts in the electrochemistry the pictures were too small to actually read the text in some of them. There should also be more text in the pp-slides so you can understand it afterwards aswell even if you can"t write down everything during the lecture. Also there should be some sort of summary of what we should know in the electrochemistry part instead of the book chapters that were full of math we don"t need to know anyway. Also maybe hand out exercises in this part.»
- The whole course should start earlier and not in week 3 in the study period. »
- The projects should not go over to the next study period. It is more or less impossible to find workable hours for 5-6 people when they read different courses and such the last week has been terribly irritating. »
- The course started three weeks late, which is immensly stupid since have projects that we could have worked with a lot more and focused since there wasn"t any lectures. Now instead, we had to little time and the projects are still going on two weeks after the exams - and I shouldn"t have to tell you how fucking stupid that is... srsly can you imagne the overlapp with other courses and the problem with finding time to write with your group members if they take different classes. The project is one of the more important aspects of the course and can give 10 points on the exams... and the lay-out and planning for it is retarded.»
- the solid state project was not good, it should not go into the next period, i had to miss a couple of lectures in other courses to have time to finish the project/presentation.»

- The course over all doesn"t feel very cohesive on its own. It would be better to separate it from synthesis of solid... Course»
- Thank you for much for course professor for the extra notes since we do not have the enough background knowledge for the course. I was impressed by the extra work done by him. Also, he use his own time to have the addition tutorial for us, the exchange students. The extra effort he put in really help me to get a better understanding of the course materials. I do not know how to choose the "Your school program" for me.I am the exchange student who major is Chemistry.»
