- The course has been hard to study to since there is no real course book so it"s spread out and it"s annoying.» (At most 15 hours/week)

- I think the lectures were quite bad, I didn"t see any connection between one lecture and another.» (50%)

- It"s hard to know what the headlines are when Alexey underlines pretty much everything.» (Small extent)

- AP is good but to have 5 coursebooks is really bad. In this cours i would have needed one to read from cover to cover to get the subject, this jumping makes it very difficult.» (Small extent)

- Old exams did not appear on the course homepage. A lot of links lead to GU sites without explanations for Chalmers students. The spelling, grammar, and formatting of the course home page is unbelievably bad. The site also mixes English and Swedish.» (Very badly)

- He complained that we had not done alot on our project but when were we supposed to do it? We had two assignments to do on top of the projects and one of the assignments was during easter break which isn"t ok.» (Adequate)

- Theres no theme in the course, what to learn is hard to grasp, the lectures is really bad and the assignment wery unclear.» (Poor)
- innehållet är väldigt spretigt, ingen röd tråd i kursen. Stor variation i innehållets svårighet. Vissa saker kändes så avancerade att man förstod att det var områden man inte skulle examineras på. Skapa en tydligare profil på kursen så att man förstår dess innehåll bättre. Gå från basic till mer avancerat. Inte tvärtom!» (Poor)

15. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- The lectures could be more structured.»
- I think there should be hand ins each week nstead of a project. In that way you have to learn about everithing thought out in the course.»
- Write a compendium instead of using a huge amount of different books.»
- It would have been easier to keep up with the lectures if there was just one book that the lectures followed. That way it would be easy to look up the material from the lectures in the book, both before and after the lecture. A more comprehensible list with recommended exercises (again, from just one book) would also be a good thing.»
- The lectures. The projekt should be more like the assigments, clear instruktions, make this, study that. Like it is now it took us 2 weeks to understand what the projekt was all about "modell something" is not wery clear. If its more like assignments it can be more adapted to the course and leactures.»
- Använd färre kursmaterial. en bok brukar räcka. Bli tydligare vad som ingår i kursen. Många föreläsningar var irrelevanta..»
- The project should be replaced by 5-7 compulsory exercises, similar to the home exercises in the courses. »

16. Additional comments

- It is a pity that this course is mandatory for EM. I didn"t exactly learn anything of value in this course that I can use in my education, it is way too late in the education for that. I have taken PDE courses for instance and don"t need small lectures about how to solve PDE problems etc. I thought it would focus more on modelling problems and not solving. Modelling was easy and I would"ve liked to learn modelling tricks which I could"ve used in other courses.»
- Choose one book for course litterature and stick with it (with exceptions if additional material is needed for the projecs of course).»
