- The book seamed more like background and more insight. The slides where good if they are counted in this catagory.» (Some extent)

- Some lectures (catalysis and insulators) had very little in the slides, very hard to revise this way, or to understand the lecture if you missed it.» (Rather well)
- Sometimes you could tell that the course was new, but the examinators always seemed keen to clear up any question right away.» (Very well)

- Low because coming from eng.phys this course had the lowest concentration of meaty formula grinding. However great content.» (Low)

- I have attended too many courses this period. two from the appl. ph. program (7.5p each) and one extra math course (7.5p) and that was a bit too much for me. Whitout the extra math course I think it would have been just right.» (Too high)

- The teachers and the excursion to a company which was highly appreciated. Cristophs inspiring enthusiasm.»
- the project. the quiz. the exam. the oppertunity to give questions in the end of each leacture. the study visit was also good.»
- Teachers, PP-slides, quizes, thew level on exam, field trip etc etc»
- The quizzes!»
- Visits to the companies was a great complement to the course. The idea of the quizez, with 7 bonus points was good, so that you could miss some.»

15. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- Some of the guest lecture handouts were hard to understand if you had missed something during class and there was little possibility of reading up on it any other place. Although this is hard to change i guess»
- maybe a "regular" exam? some questions on the quiz/exam may not have been very clear in the handouts. If the lectures are not mandatory you should be able to answear those questions anyway, this was not only the case.»
- If possible arrange two field trips. Say a wen/thur when half class goes one place and next that the other place. »
- Deeper lessons.»
- Better handouts for some of the lectures»
- Just getting the small details more worked out.»

- Maybe use a compendium and skip the textbook.»
- A very good course, it"s too bad you don"t get the chance to take it earlier as you get a good insight in many interesting areas where you could consider taking deeper courses.»
- Very good course. Would recommend it.»
- A very interesting course, good book, very good quiez. The lessons and handouts could have been harder and on colours especially these with different lattices.»
