- Actually the teachers in charge of the assignments were rather bad. They did not seem to master the topic of the assignments and were most of the time unable to provide clear and understandable answers!» (Small extent)
- I would have learned more if I had been able to attend more lectures. It"s hard to be at two places at once.» (Some extent)
- The tutorials should be improved to include more "hands on" exercises which we do together on the black board.» (Large extent)

- The compendium is too dense and the essential point are not well highlight.» (Small extent)
- The course literature was confusing. By this I mean that the equations used different symbols or/and subscript and that it sometimes was difficult understand the theory related to them.» (Some extent)

- Why isn"t the "traffic-light" function used when approving an assignment? This would greatly simplify the matter of knowing if one has passed or not.» (Rather badly)
- Having to hand in everything and have everything signed was annoying. Why not use the hand in feature on the course hompage? It would save everyboyd a lot of time and effort.» (Rather badly)

- There was so much work with the assignments that there wasn"t enough time to read up on the theory» (High)
- During study week 6, the load was way too high. The assignments were not properly distributed over the course so we got a lot to do in a very short period of time. Remember that this study period has eight weeks and not seven and use that next year. » (High)

- More Chemistry oriented than i thought and a lot of it is not explained in the course literature which gets very time consuming as u have to ask for help a lot.» (Fair)
- Combustion seems very arbitrary, and it feels like I didn"t get a well enough grasp of which assumptions to make when and why» (Fair)
- The course is in itself excellent, however the course material needs improvement. Furthermore I think the course could benefit from removing some parts that we had in the end. For example, gas-turbines, the internal combustion engine, CCS.» (Good)

14. What should definitely be preserved to next year?

- the project assignment»
- I think it was very good that the calculations was on the assignments and that the exam was more for theory, as there seemed to be so arbitrary what you should use in the equations. Even the teachers couldn"t explain the difference between the different kp:s »
- The experiment on first day. Maybe go trough some basic before so you know what too look for. Preserve the teacher/student good interface, visit at chalmers boiler but an external visit would have been nice as well. Overall an good and interesting course (difficult but good).»
- The assignments give a good understanding of the course.»
- The book was really good, except Appendix B»

15. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- exercises should not be handed out in such a high tempo as u have no chance to finish the previous one before the next one comes. very stressful»
- Perhaps an earlier deadline on the last assignment so there"s more time to focus on the theory before the exam»

- As many difficult equations and derivisions was included in the course book and exam I would have appriciated the derivion of these on the blackboard to understand these better. »
- The compendium should be a little bit modified and the exam should test more what we learn during the course»
- The distribuiton of the assignemnts. Also make sure the distributed matlab code works. »
- More exercises related to the exam and less assignments because they took too much work. »
- The amount of very specific information to learn should be reduced, and more focus should be put on understanding of different phenomena.»
