- The course homepage wasn"t linked from GUL. And it was shut down the last weekend before the exam.» (Very badly)
- Recently the CSE webserver has had a lot of downtime (days at a time), but this is not a problem specific to this course, all other courses hosted there have been affected as well, obviously.» (Rather well)

- Thanks to ample additional reading material, there were lots of opportunities to deepen your knowledge if you are really interested. But if you were hard pressed for time, like me, it was also easy to skip many things and just learn the essentials, which I think is a good way to run a course.» (Adequate)

- I followed three courses, Parallel and distributed real-time systems (PDRTS), Unix internals and this one. And PDRTS was quite heavy, so I had a very high work-load overall, but I don"t think that any of the courses was too difficult.» (High)

- Similar to the computer security course, it gave a good overview and enough opportunity to deepen your knowledge if you are interested in a specific topic. I like that approach, although it makes the course very easy if you just stick to the basics. » (Good)

- Too simple, not very interesting.» (Bad)
- In general I prefer to have one bigger project which spans multiple topics rather than having smaller isolated labs, but each lab in itself was quite good, albeit quite easy. Then again, if the labs had been more work, I might have dropped the course, because I was too busy with my other courses already. Especially the final discussion with the teaching assistants are really helpful, because they can make sure that you really understood the material, and possibly point out things you did not consider yourself.» (Good)

- the course should be more oriented towards assignments on security, like finding vulnerabilities on a system and exploiting them or protect from them. Less theory of what security is and more practice. »
