- I love how the workload depends on your objectives» (Adequate)
- it"s very nice that the mandatory parts are not to much but you can extend quite much if you want to» (Adequate)
- I usually have no problem combine work and study. I am very comited to what I do but this course I couldn"t manage. There was too little information in the project description. The description of the problem and language was good but there was no little hint on how to start the program. Structure tips,... When I looked on internet how to do I found other compiler courses homepages with some skeleton. I thought about using it but it would have been cheating. To me the project description should have provided some program skeleton/tips.» (Too high)

Good»9 37%

- Good for students which have times and are already good in compiler technology. Very hard when what you read in the project description is "here is the language, here is the target, write a compiler"» (Fair)
- Some extensions in the project description could have been a bit more clear.» (Good)
- Got more from it than expected» (Good)
- Very fun to do a project! Good slides, nice lab instructions and you can easily get help from teachers» (Excellent)

15. What should definitely be preserved to next year?

- The project style of the course»
- The overall structure of the course.»
- Overall great course and great lectures.»
- The project!»
- The evaluation system, really cool.»
- The project!»
- Contents of lectures (slides was very helpful for the project) The project and the way it was structured (2 parts and optional extensions).»
- lab work.»
- The course format was very good.»
- The entire course as is»
- Lab-based course»
- The lecture slides where really good in my opinion.»

16. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- More choices for lab extensions»
- I feel like the credit-system could be more dynamic. Some extensions were clearly more complicated than others.»
- Maybe try to shorten the project description and clarify some details in the extensions for llvm.»
- Nothing»
- None.»
- People are lazy, force some of the extra creds! Otherwise plt has covered a great part of compiler cons! »
- Can"t think of anything. A bit more freely available information on how to implement arrays in LLVM would have been helpful.»
- I have no idea how many people followed this course or dropped it but in order to be accessible to all students. Maybe more guidance and why not some compiler program skeletons like the one I found on other compiler course homepages.»

17. Additional comments

- Perhaps the first part of the course could be removed so there could be more focus on LLVM.»
- Thanks for the course, it was really cool!»
- Some more guest lectures. Have them talk about the actual compiler implementation as well!»
- Best course I"ve read in a long time. Educational and loads of fun.»
- This seemed like a very interesting course. Too bad I couldn"t do it.»
