- the lecturers should not be too fast. Stefan always says if u have questions come to my office instead of giving time for students to think.»
- 1. Everybody"s willingness to answer questions and the positive study climate.
2. The chance to apply theory on an actual circuit in the framework of the practical project.

- The tutor, he is very good in explaining to somehow large extent both practical and theoretical issues, he could improve delivery of some parts to meet time constraints.

This year exam wasn"t fair at all, out of the scope of the goals of the course.»
15. What should definitely be changed to next year?- DC/DC converter project gave us nothing. Just takes time and doesn"t let you focus on your studies. Really dumb move to have it at all. »
- the lecture slides are so bad. They only contains picture from the book. No explanation in written in the slides. and during the lecture the lecturers just simply give highlights. »
- 1. I think that the topics that were dealt with during this course somewhat lack homogenuity/ coherence.
2. The slides were not really helpful. The addition of some short notes/explanations would be welcome.
3. The course depends too heavily on the book. Although the quality of the book is recognized, in several cases I think that the course was reduced to application of book formulas or guidance around book chapters.
4. Most exam questions were irrelevant to what had been stressed during the quarter.
5. The tutorials were technically ok, but they could be more explanatory/pedagogical in some cases (eg. figures, qualitative explanations). »

16. Additional comments- They should take problems on the board rather than simply passing on the slide.»
- Although the course had some nice parts, unfortunately I did not generally enjoy it as much as I would like. On the one hand, there were many exhausting component details and on the other hand there was a rather superficial description of applications. Moreover, I feel that the knowledge that was earned, was not tested properly in the final exam. The level of the lectures/tutor/supervisors is clearly high, therefore I believe that there is room and capability for improvements in this course.

- The exam had some ambiguous questions.
Especially the calculations on the turn-on-snubber doesn"t seem to fit well with the course goals.

- I was truly shocked when I got the exam paper. I didn"t expect that the exam will be so difficult, unfair, previous exams were much easier. I guess that everyone has the same feelings, I hope you will see in the results the exam questions difficulty was set too high.

- I had no idea that this years exam would be alot different from the last years exams. It would have been great to know since then I would not have calulated last 5 years of exams I found.»
- There is no correlation between what you are taught and examed on.
It feel like the examiners don"t want their students to pass their own courses.

- The exam should be composed by experienced personnel or cross-checked by experienced personnel before presented to the students. This will help to avoid confusions in the exam room where there were a lot of corrections which end up confusing students as well as consuming exam time for students.»
