2. Suggestions for improvement

Please give us your suggestions on how to improve the quality of the program. Think of what is working and what is not working. Consider the various aspects - teaching, information, examination, course offerings, administration, Masters thesis etc.

Our main goals are to improve the program and attract more students.

- It would be good to have suggestions to possible educational tracks to take, including courses, examples of master thesis for that particular track and possible employment afterwords. Physics & astronomy has a reputation of being very difficult (which it sort of should be) and people coming from Chalmers BSc in Engineering Physics program might feel discouraged by that after 3 years of hard work. So one should maybe try to tone down that reputation.»
- So far the Masters program has been really good but of course it can be made even better. In the astronomy part of the Masters program, till now, we have seen quite a lot of things but there has been no discussion about how to handle observational astrophysical data(spectra and images). It would be really nice if this is covered as part of an existing course. Last but not the least, I think that these anonymous evaluations could be made public, at least to those students who are in the same program. Of course it is easy to ask why one must care what others think of the program. But I think that getting to know others" opinion might in some way help us figure out whether our point of view is in some way biased/twisted. »
