- The examination was a joke. It wouldn"t have been a problem to pass after the first week of lectures. There was alot of things to know and learn in the course but on the exam there was only ridiculously easy calculations. The "hardest" part was not to get confused by all the numbers you had to enter into equations. A good exam should test what you know, not how good you are at entering numbers on your calculator.» (No, not at all)
- The exam did not check whether we actually new anything about the ISM. Basically no theoretical knowledge was required. » (To some extent)

- Powerpoint and overhead lectures are useless. Especially when you have around 80-100 slides per lecture. I hardly learned anything. You should find a way to organize the course material and give a compact version on the lectures, you simply can"t take in all the information of 90 slides in a lecture. The only way for me to learn on a lecture is by writing down what is said, but there is now no way to even have time to write down the keyparts. This is why lectures on the black board is by far superior.» (Small extent)

- The book was hard to understand and read. The last week we had gotten homeworks for the first three weeks (there was supposed to be one per week right?). We got totally four with no solutions except one until the friday last week, and the exam was on monday. This is quite frankly unaccaptable and disrespectful to us students who are investing time and money into this course. In summary we maybe got material for maybe half the course (maybe you catched up some on the last homeproblem), the distribution of the workload was unbalanced, the lectures was unstructured and the exam didn"t exam much of the course. On top of that you tried to impose which study technique you thought was best on us (by from beginning not intending to give any solutions), instead of respecting that every individual learns differently and we have had at least 3.5 years to learn just that.» (Small extent) (den här kommentaren har blivit redigerad i efterhand)

- Probably my last course from Radio and Space sciences, thanks for the insight.» (Poor)
- I think that section of the course which covered interstellar medium could be improved a bit. At times, it felt as though we were jumping between concepts without any continuity. » (Adequate)

14. What should definitely be preserved to next year?

- The homeproblems was a good idea for learning, but the administration didn"t work. Funny given that you even where two lecturers instead of the usual one. If you don"t have time to give the course, why even have it?»

15. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- If you must use powerpoint, please use at most 20-30 slides per lecture. But it would be best to use the black board and only slides/powerpoints for illustration and pictures. The exercises must be posted more regularly and the course material should be posted well in advance of the exam.»
