- I always learn best when I can read things in my own tempo, so the lectures were good but sometimes it was a little too fast for me. This, however, does NOT mean that the lectures should have a lower tempo. I think the tempo in the lectures were very good, it discussed most things on equal amount of time, so if there was something that was unclear you could read about it later. Or just ask a question, it was a very question-friendly environment.» (Great extent)

- Good that the quizes evened out the load. I personally had many project which shifts the work load towards the end, so it was all in all ok, but not so spread out. So a plus for the quizes due to this.» (Adequate)

- The project. It lets you dive in on a subject you"re interested in. Of course you could do it without having to, but honestly, who would?»

- The lectures of the second part of the course were really interesting, especially the one about nuclear power. Some student presentations helped to learn about topic not developped in the course (aerogels, some fabrication methods, ...) Preparing my presentation and report made me learn quite a lot about my topic.»

15. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- Maybe use a dropbox folder instead of CDs or a usb at least. All lecture notes should be distrubuted in the beginning of the course, so that it is easier to pic a project and start with it earlier»

- Not a whole project day, divide into smaller groups and then you only have to attend one. This way you concentrate better and you don"t have to hear as much repetitive info.»

- Generally speaking, too much repetition during the course: - Several lectures were about solar fuels, with not so much differences between them. Maybe after the first lecture on solar fuels the basics could be skipped to really get into the topic. - For the student presentation, there should be a maximum of 2-3 groups on the same topic. Too many people were talking about solar cells, a topic which have already been presented in the course. Maybe some topics could be proposed by the teacher to the student to make the presentation day really useful.»
