The assignments where good but the third one could have been a little more exciting.

- It"s nice to earn some points for the time we spend on the assignments and the preparation for their oral exam. Or you can consider bonus points in advance for every passed assignment.

- I didn"t use the book so much. But the lecture notes were great. So i had bad invesments on the book, but maybe its good to have the book for the future.» (Some extent)

- The book was really good in the first chapter, even better than the lecture notes, but I gradually disconnected from the book and stayed with the lecture notes although the mini tutorials were still helpful. I think it"s nice if the lecture notes contain a couple of more examples.» (Some extent)
- Some times a bit more detailed explanations would have helped. The complementary litterature for the course could have been more extensive.
I got stuck at assignment 2 and I couldn"t find any references that could explain set point tracking to me in a satisfactory way. That"s why I eventually had to drop out of the course.

Genomsnitt: 3.25 - I didn"t now anyone from before, I"m bad at making contact and I missed out on the first week of the course because of illnes. So i did not have much cooperation with fellow students, I think this was a major reason for not doing so well in the course, but what little cooperation there was it worked good.» (Rather well)

I think it would be a good idea to explain more detailed why there is, or why there isn"t a lack of feedback in the different cases of the topic described in chapter 5, page 38.
Also, if it"s possible it would perhaps be a good idea to clearify the issues of least square state estimation (Ch. 6) and stability (Ch. 10) with some pictures. »

- 1) Lectures have been good.
2) Some problem solving sessions have been quite strange, Some tutorials have been very theoretically and have seemed quite irrelevant for the course: for instance tutorial 3. Moreover if one intend to include thinks like Bellman"s equation and Matrix calculus I think it would be a good idea to explain this math before just throwing it into some tutorials. (These things were not stated as prerequisites.)
3) Consulting sessions have worked well.
4) Assignment 1 worked well.
5) If not just right answers but also a more well written report than usual is a demand for achieving bonus points then this should be stated clearly in advance. (Not just put on the web page.)

- 1, good, but could be more comprehensive. they were theory heavy, making it hard to absorb the material.
2, Faisal was a bit stressed, which made it hard to ask questions/get good answers. Also, the solving of exercises could have been done in a more pedagogic way, for example by explaining the thoughts leading up to the solution. Not just presenting it. Otherwise it was good, Faisal was very ambitious and enthusiastic.
3, the TA was stressed and did not take his time to answer questions on the consulting session I went to. On that occation he came one hour late and stayed for five minutes. Not good!
4-6, good way of learning and examining. It could be more clear what the criterias were for bonus points, and how the solutions should be presented.
7, as long as there is time for this I think it is good, but it should not steal time from e.g. consulting sessions.
8, good thing, though I could not participate.»
