14. What should definitely be preserved to next year?

- The Borregaard visit was interesting, but I would have liked some more information handed out since it was included in the exam. »
- I really like that Harald tried to sell in the area, by showing recent research in both the academic and corporation world. This combined with the study visit (very good) and the guest lectures has at least got me interested in the area!»

15. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- The gasification part was difficult to understand from the material we were given, even when I tried to read up on it from other resources, I felt that I wasn"t prepared for the exam. I would have liked the course material available on the course home page. I also think that the projects could have started a little earlier in the course, it was a little stressful as it was now.»
- The gasification lecture was nice, but if it should be on the exam it should be better slides. For example the last question on the exam was about "entrained flow gasifiers", a concept that no info at all is given on the slides (except that the name is mentioned). The references on the first page is to a book and refer to about 300-400 pages. This is not appropriate and the slides need to be more extensive like the ones Harald uses, or the reference should be to a more reasonable source! »
- The material on the gasification part was very poor and it was really hard to study this section. This material must be improved.»

- A bit less on the wood constituent part. Of course we have to learn some but if you are very interested in that you read the cellulose course. »

16. Additional comments

- Thanks for the old exams, they help a lot! I think the idea of the project was good and it worked well in my group. But I think half of the groups missed the origin point that was about forming a new product and corporation to be able to sell in the idea. The most groups only wrote down what they found in the course material and skipped the last part. I think the projects should be more specific with claims on having economic data ... Maybe give a small introduction to some economic interesting terms and most important: Tell people to be realistic!»
- Borregaard was very inspiring and more focus should be on tecniques rather than wood.»
