- Well, learning and understanding simulink is important and giving complete solutions would probably mean less understanding of the models. Problem is though that there were A LOT of time spent on some assignments just troubleshooting to find a small typing error or something. Maybe possible to have more "stops" where you get to make sure that what you have produced so far is OK? Maybe :) » (Yes, but only some of the last projects)
- It"s good to learn Simulink by doing, this element cannot be removed completely.» (Yes, but only some of the last projects)
- The process of preparing the projects was useful for getting used to Matlab and Simulink. But the workload was excessive. As a compromise between these two things I think that the last projects could be prepared as project 8.» (No)
- Actually, I haven"t submitted number 8 yet.» (No)
- I think there is no room left for any extra project. I"d like to have one more project for topic as of project 8 but then I would have to sacrifice other topics due to time constraints. So, let it be as it was in this course.» (No)
- I think it was good learning to use simulink/matlab though it took a little bit too much time. Maybe it"s possible to reduce the number of tasks or ask the questions within the task more specific.» (No)

- All projects are important and valuable. However they form an excessive workload. If some projects were therefore to be removed from a relevance point of view, I would suggest PMSM and digital control. » (Project 5, PMSM, Project 8, Digital control)
- All projects where very relavant. But there is to many projects and/or to big for a 7.5 point course.» ()
- No, I guess everything was pretty relevant and interesting, ofcourse tough but really interesting! I would suggest just to give some hints or explanation where to look on, while analyzing the obtained graphs.» ()
- If I had a chance to compare the real life application of the material studied in this course, then I would have better chance to suggest what was really important in this course and what was not. As a student I enjoyed this course. Stefan Lundberg made everything right!» ()
- The two latest projects could have been done in some other way. At this time you know how to work with simulink and matlab, maybe it could be enough to discuss some simulation graphs instead of doing all the simulations all over.» (Project 7, Field weakening, Project 8, Digital control)

- Stefan"s great teaching (combination of knowledge on the subject and teaching skills). The assistants" helpfulness and devotion. Especially Poopak spent a large amount of time and energy both in projects and tutorials. A big thanks to her. The well-written tutorials and lectures material. »

- Stefan as teacher! Poopak is really good to explain things (though we have been wondering how she feels, she should put her self in centre a little bit more, we can take a "no,I don"t have time right know"). The assignment have been great but have taken a little bit much of time.»
- Students spend way to much time debugging matlab code and trying to find out the errors. Alot of steps could be dismissed but still get the same understanding. I wish I could have spent the time debugging matlab studying power system operation.»

20. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- The workload should possibly somehow be lowered. There is another course in this quarter which cannot be properly studied, if the workload in this course is so large. Either the depth or the amount of the projects should possibly be sacrificed.»
- the compendium is really bad. I would"ve prefer a good book. However, the professor was really great.»
- Remove assignment 8 and just have 7 assignmnets»
- Sometimes an extra person could have been needed at the MATLAB exercise occasions. Experienced much worse though!»

- I completely understand PhD students who assisted us in our projects and I"m sure that next year they will be prepared very well for every assignment, any question to be answered.»
- The only thing that could be change in my opinion is to split the workload of assisting to more PhD students, in order to have a slightly better operation in the lab hours.»
- Reduce the work load in the end by doing assignment 7 and 8 faster to solve.»
- The scheduled time for the approvals wasnt enough. It would be much better for both the groups and the PhD"s if every group could book appointments for approval since a lot of time was wasted waiting or trying to find someone to be able to get approval from. Another option is having deadlines and that you have a seminar every other week going through the assignments after deadline. You should give 15 credits instead of 7.5 credits for this course!»

- The lecturer and the tutor were really trying to teach as in a clear and straightforward way and they totally succeeded in it. It was the most interesting and organized course so far. I have the idea that i learnt a lot.»
