- Meaby 5+1 assignments are to many and could be better going more in depth with theory » (?)
- A little more emphasis on the physical meaning and implications would be great I think.» (Rather good)
- In some parts the lectures are vague and from them it is hard to understand the topic mostly at the last lectures which were not included in the book. ( plate, FEM some of the methods)» (Rather good)

- They were almost useless, just copying the solution. My opinion is that it is better to do some exercises less, but explaining every step made in the solution» (Very bad)
- From the few I attended and from what I heard form other people.» (Rather bad)

- They were not very well structured and sometimes it was unclear. The teaching assistant should try to use the same notations as in the lectures in order to make it more clear.» (Rather bad)

- Sadegh is not the best teacher but the problem might be the tempo on the lecture to fast and a bad hand writing. The solution should be handed out on paper with good structure and style» (Rather bad)
- They started off being really bad but improved greatly over the duration of the course. The format used in the end of the period worked very well (where we were given finished solutions and could focus on the structure of the solution instead of just writing down the content and not understanding much)» (Rather good)
- At the beginning it was bad (explanation, speed was too high) but after 2 weeks it was much better. In one seesion we solved problems of a topic, which we haven"t. Overall it was still good and Sadegh did a good job. » (Rather good)

- I think hand-outs in which a typical problem from each major topic covered is solved with detailed explanations would be helpful.» (Yes)
- not enough number of examples and solutions were available mostly in last parts, because my background did not include FEM and it is hard for me to understand what is the concept and I some how have to remember how things works in that part.» (Yes)
- I believe a good balance must be reached so that the solutions aren"t excessively long but are detailed enough so that we the students avoid the most common pitfalls to a specific problem.» (Yes)

11. Solving the more extensive problems.

What strategy do you prefer for the more involved solutions (besides putting them on the home page):


- In my opinion the best way is that all the teaching stuff specially the problems in the TA part should be put on the website so that if someone missed some classes they can get along with the class.»
- 1. while writing as the solution is presented on the black. you lern to use the theory in the right way. 2. combining blackboar and projector often gets messy wich was the case in this corse too. 3.only projector=you could as well skip it. 4.some examples should be solved in class but not necessary all.»
- could be a lecture but most important for the learning is to get acesss of the material in good quality, same as the old exam paper was. »

- I don´,t think the book is necessary. The handouts was so good so I think it´,s enough with handouts and some printed complementes from the book» (Small extent)

- Could need some more explaining on some parts to really clarify how to solve some tasks» (Rather good)
- Combined with the assignments they made great learning resources. A small suggestion that I can think of right now is discussing the relation/difference between D"Alambert"s solution and solution by separation of variables, either in the lecture notes or in class/or both.» (Very good)

Present course is in line with the book, 1:MDOF, 2:Continuous syst., 3:FEM. This may be changed to 1:MDOF, 2:FEM, 3:Continuous syst. Hereby the FEM part (including FEM assignment) can be studied over a longer time period.

- In my opinion the FEM course itself should be put in the first place and after that it doesn"t matter where the FEM part related to Structural Dynamics is put on.» (?)
