- Seemingly no communication between the lecturer and the person who was supposed to handle the course web page. When we pointed out errors on the web page, the lecturer would express his frustration with the other person and promise results - which never came. The deadline for the project was wrong during the whole course, despite there being many complaints about this. Crucial information was sometimes given only during the lectures - which weren"t obligatory! Important info should always be on the course web page. Finally: the course evaluation process has been amateurish. First, the lecturer suggested that we hand in the evaluation with the take-home exam, no anonymity. Then an anonymous evaluation was promised before christmas, and never materialized.» (Very badly)

- Since the sign up for the project never closed and people were late at getting a group we had one person joining our group 3-4 days before the hand in which meant that the project was almost finished when he joined and he got a "free ride"» (Very poorly)

- It"s a really important course that is okay today but deserves to be even better.» (Adequate)

18. What should definitely be preserved to next year?

- Class room discussions»
- The group project»
- The lecturer is clearly very knowledgeable in the field. He managed some discussions really well, never losing his temper or trying to make anybody feel stupid. It"s good that the course hasn"t fallen to overly relativistic "jämställdist"-tendencies. The take-home exam was really good, it"s a powerful tool for learning.»

19. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- It would be good with more lectucers in a discussion form with»
- Discussions should be moderated. Too often, discussions would deviate into unrelated topics or desintegrate into hair splitting. The lecturer should have the courage to interrupt discussions that are off topic. The lecturer should perhaps be a bit more knowledgeable in some technical fields. The lecture about gender in computing was a real disappointment (partly because of off topic discussions eating half of the lecture).»
