- The final presentation of the visual sample box felt very detached from the rest of the work done during the course. The individual presentation of one"s work felt unnecessary as we had seen most of it before and it was very repetative.» (To some extent)
- I believe it did according to us showing the complete result of the course. Though I believe that it should be clearer what is demanded by the tudents. » (Yes, definitely)

- Almost no "ordinary lectures" at all, and the ones held were based on articles we were to read - or had already read - anyway. » (Small extent)

- Some of the handouts were of little help as they were too abstract to use in a meaningful way.» (Some extent)
- Feels like they was only a help to understand the lectures, and that a similar knowledge actually was provided by the lectures. » (Some extent)

- To just have a clearer structure would alleviate some of the stress, which was solely caused by confusions regarding deadlines, what was supposed to be handed in etc. I think this also would alleviate the stress from the teachers!» (Rather badly)
- Some confusion between the members of the staff. They need to be better coordinated and give the same information to the students regarding what is demanded on the assignments of the course. Thi was not the case in all assignments.» (Rather well)

- As said before, the information given differed depending on who you asked. It was hard to have a chance to ask Ulrike as she did not aswer e-mails and rarely had any time to spare (if she even had time to attend the classes).» (Rather poor)
- Emails to the staff was poorly answered.» (Rather poor)
- Overall good. But sometimes the goal of an assignment was not totally clear, and we had to continue working anyway, since the next time we would see the professor would take a week. Would be better to have more lectures of Ulrike.» (Rather good)

- IN general good but with some minor difficulties. Thi might have been the result of us being placed in groups by the teacher.» (Rather well)

- I believe that the subject could be more inspiring if it was better managed. The lectures were interesting and the workshops as well, but the way to present it did not seem suitable.» (Poor)

15. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- Feedback should be given on the different assignments that were handed in every week. Now, I still have not really an idea how well I did. Only in the end I get my grate, and I can not improve anything at that moment anymore. An indication of how well I"m doing somewhere in the middle of the term would be nice.»

- One should not be bound to write the protocols according to the form given. It would be better to write down one"s thought of the week in a free way. The titles given did not fit into the work done and became a limitation. A better communication between Maral and Ulrike so that everyone gets the same information!»
- Adding a completely new assignment 1 week before the course is to be ended is unacceptable, especially when the deadline for the assignment is set to 21 of december! The course planning should be better, and not improvised during the study period. The assignments should be more explicitly described to avoid misunderstandings and so that the students know what to do and don"t have to spend time trying to interpret what they are expected to accomplish. Adding information regarding the assignments orally (other than what is said in the assignment descriptions) often cause confusion - all information given should be equivalent regardless if it"s written or presented orally. »
- The course staff needs to be better coordinated and the evaluation forms needs to be worked through. They were not very good. »
- Some of the instructions gave some problems, because they were not suited to the task. But I think that this was a problem because we are used to have instructions that must be followed slavishly, because we are engineers :) Perhaps it should be mentioned at the beginning of the course that there is an individual freedom over what you want to present, but it is important to really show the width of your work?»
- I would have liked to have a bit longer presentations so that the presenters could go a bit deeper in their presentation. Maybe each person talking a bit deeper about one thing rather than about 10.»
- The number of exercises should be decreased. And more focus on a portfolio or form process protocol.»
- In the end of the course we had to hand in a lot of the same stuff we had handed in before. I thought that was unnecessary»
- At least one of the assignments were done individually but graded in groups, didn"t seem thoughtout. One more supervision (or given at an earlier stage) for the last group assignment. It was difficult to know exactly what to achieve and how to achieve it even though we had a course plan. Maybe this course should be graded G and U only? »

- Ulrike should be better keeping the lectures at correct times. Not giving us lunch at 12.00 etc. »
