- the leadership seminar was good. the planning seminar was not useful. you did not learn much there since it didnt include discussion, it was more like answer the teachers questions.» (Small extent)

- seminar on planning was not too giving but the two others» (Large extent)
- I liked the leadership safari the most, to go and get somebody"s view on leadership. » (Large extent)

- Should be more specific questions. It is hard to know the expectations and what that should be included. If feels like the judgment mostly will be on how advanced language you use and what kind of sources beens used. I personally disagree that transitive learning is about finding sources, I think it is about drawing conclusions from your own knowledge base! The way it is performed is also extremely unfair for people that during the research project only did empirical studies! » (Small extent)
- We don"t get comments for what we did for home exam and for seminars ! we only get grades. if the lecturers give us grades lower than the maximum, they should send us a brief explanation of its reason as we have seen in all other courses at chalmers.» (Small extent)
- It was good to use what we"ve learned and apply it but did not really learn anything new by it» (Some extent)
- Then again the home exam reflects the achieved knowledge throughout the course.» (Large extent)

- The lecturer should organize their notes according to course book ! at least in the same order.» (Small extent)
- The book provided a nice overview of the subject and was good for the initial learning but the deeper learning was acquired through articles and alternative sources. The information in the book was too shallow and not as useful as expected for project work and the home exam » (Large extent)

12. How well did the course administration, web page, handouts etc work?

- The results of the written exam was very late and I had to go to the institution to see the results since it took a long time before posting them on pingpong. Very bad!» (Very badly)

- hand out were not added on the åpage for some lessons and some information was handed out very late» (Rather badly)
- its sometimes very hard to understand ping-pong!» (Rather well)
- I would have liked faster response on the seminars.» (Rather well)
- Would have appreciate to get information about the planning seminar assignment as early as the info about the other seminars. The missing lecture slides prior to the test affected the possibility to study those aspects (that were included in the test...!). Besides that, it worked very well. » (Rather well)
- But Ping-Pong in practice is mostly a nightmare!» (Rather well)

- differed alot in level of both knowledge and ability to write academically.» (Rather well)
- The project work was a challenge mainly for two reasons, six members are too many for a group, I think four students is better. The different levels of ambitions made it difficult for those with higher ambition to work for a higher grade when those who only aimed at passing the assignment was not willing to do more than necessary. This is a problem and it is understandable that forming groups with different backgrounds gives good experience and learning but it is also frustrating when the ambition levels differ.» (Very well)

Summarizing questions

15. What should definitely be preserved to next year?

- Project and basic test»
- Everything»
- DAVID LOID»
- Care about students by assistants, the 3 levels of learning base well implemented. »
- Seminars»
- The lectures were great! Even though we had the whole afternoon of lectures sometimes, they kept my interest. I think they focused on the right things, and the guest lectures where good too, although I recognized most of Per Svenssons slides from the Bachelor thesis lecture on planning.»
- I think the research project was good, we got a good insight to what the PMs actually do.. But I think it was REALLY stressful to find the live project since not everyone is well connected and has a father who is a CEO. If you don"t have connections it is VERY HARD or rather IMPOSSIBLE to get into a live project. Luckily we had one in our group who had some connections. But with half of the group-members being exchange-students this really put some pressure on the few remaining Swedes.. »
- The project work but with reduced number of team members. The seminars with the same structure as the organizing seminar, divide into smaller groups. It was difficult to start a discussion in the planning seminar as there were only one large group.»
- All of them»
- the project and homeexam.»
- the project, but with facilities to find a company with a project»
- Lectures, seminars, home exam»
- Seminars.»
- David Loid that is a fantastic teacher. It is nice to finally has a teacher that worked outside the academic world!»
- Project work should be inside the schedule. It is very helpful for international students to adapt themselves into group works better.»

16. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- shorter home exam»
- nothing»
- I think the workload was quite high. I think the home exam can be dropped. The seminars was a lot of preparationary work but learnt quite a bit from them. Home exam took a lot if time but mainly felt as revision.»
- Remove something. Either the homeexam or the "dugga"!»
- Cancel basic test.ITS absolutely hopeless cause in a short period of time, the whole book should be studied and be examined, therefore it will be forgotten very fast! »
- The grouping formula makes no much sense to me, regarding team projects.»
- Maybe the groupings for the project assignment. It was hard communicating and the exchange students went into the project with the notion of "the swedish guy will do everything".»
- Project work in group need more monitoring»
- Earlier information on projects for the research project, so that you have more time to look for one. It was not easy to find one on so short notice. »
- Skip the home exam. You already have a written exam, group project and seminars. Also we had to do a lot of interviews (both for the project and for a seminar). Doing the interviews made us miss a lot of other other classes. When the interviewees had opportunity too meet with us we had to drop everything and then meet with them since they were always very busy. And you wanted us to make around 6-7 interviews so if was a really busy schedule, and also many companies are situated a bit outside the city so one interview means basically half a day off if you include travel. »
- In my opinion it"s too much with a basic test that covers the whole book, mandatory seminars, a big research project and a home exam. The research project is too big and it"s hard to work in groups of 6 when everyone has different schedules, maybe would"ve been easier if you were able to choose the groups yourselves?»
- Rearrange the project work. One suggestion is that students are allowed to form own groups but with some requirements like 50/50 Swedish and international students or they must come from different master programs. It is more fair, both for those who aim at a lower grade and those who wants higher points.»
- I really don"t know»
- remove or change the planning seminar and lecture, was not useful. and to many examination tasks. the written exam was to focused in specific facts and not understanding.»
- the home exam, it did not help me a lot to understand the subject»
- The basic test should be helped later»
- The planning seminar, in my opinion, this seminar was not so good. It was just questions about the text, and to be able to answer them tou had to almost read through the text again.»
- First basic test later.»
- This course is open for people from different background, but the course is somewhat based on that you have read I (industrial economy). For people from other areas, it is therefore extremely hard to know what is expected from us. I have never written any reports (seminar, home exams, project) in this way since the expectations are different in different areas. Please remember this and take time to discuss and give examples on what is graded and expected during the course to give people from different background the opportunities for higher degrees. Maybe the seminar reports can be used for trainings during the course for people that need it?»
- the course literature should definitely move together with the lectures. It is hard to follow course book since the lecturer doesn"t follow the same path while teaching. His slides have a different order than the course book »

17. Additional comments

- It"s a good course but time consuming so recommend people to take the course with another course who is less commanding»
- I am very honoured to be David loid`s student.I learnt a lot for him.Great TEACHER. »
- I really had to out alot of effort in organizing and leading the project assignment. This was not possible to share this resposibility becouse noone cared about the project. Calling, emailing, reminding people was like a 1 hour task of my day.»
- Far too much included in the course. I regret taking it since it caused me a lot of stress since my other course also had a group project and required meeting with team members. Really hard to take the Project Management Course at the same time as antoher, which is not ok since the course is just a 7,5 hec course!!!! »
- Thank you Very Much:)»
- No»
- It is high work load in the course»
- Lot of work. But it worths.»
- The contribution report is totally useless in this course. The grading is goal based and not activity based and therefore should the final outcome be judged! But most important is that these reports only give strong people an opportunity to take credits for things they have not performed. If someone wants higher grades than the other in the group, this should been discussed and defined early in the project and not afterwards. Somewhere it is important to remember that this course is about working in team, and a part of that is to delegate and motivate people during the process, not afterwards! (Yes this have been an issue this years!)»
