- Some part of the course were familiar from previous studies, moslty the earlier parts. Sadly i didnt feel they became much clearer after the course. And Jan used a sometimes unsmooth combination of powerpoint and whiteboard, in my opinion its smoothest if one is the "main".» (Some extent)

- Only becouse of the hideous lab in the end, or well its deadline which Vincent for rather strange reasons refused to move.....» (Rather badly)
- The result for the home assignment has not been returned jet, in week one of study period 3 and neither has the exam result. This is to long time.» (Rather badly)
- The home assignment was good but the 3D Lab home assignment must be handed out earlier next year. It was quite painful having the deadline Sunday before the exam week.» (Rather well)

Genomsnitt: 3.9 - Laboratory 3 was not very easy and the persons responsible it did not provide much help at all. One refused to answers questions (Vincent Desmaris) and the other (Hawal Rashid) never replied.» (High)
- The laborations of this course were set too late in date. One day before the space exam, there were a laboration hand in. The hand in was too difficult. It affected my grade in the space course. Some student mailed Vincent Pierre Desmaris for pushing the deadline date for a couple of days. The return mail of him was arrogant. His attityd were disrespectful and as a student, the impression of this whole course is not well. I actually like microwave courses but i will not take the continuation courses now.» (Too high)

15. What should definitely be changed to next year?- Lab 3 was the most terrible thing I ever have seen.
Good thing to use the software, and waveguide technology, but transformer was no good at all.
The exam contained z-y smith charts, but not in color. All problems solved in tutorial, lectures and at home was done in color. Using black and white is way harder. Try to provide color smiths next year or inform that they will be in black and white.»
- Tutorials. Solve harder problems and more explanation when the problems are solved on the board.
Recommended book. A good literature would be Microwave Engineering of Pozar, it is very easy to follow.
Lectures. More preparation on the lectures. If Chalmers is so strict with the students about plagiarism, it is incongruous to have teachers that follow by heart books.»

- Maybe the course could have skipped basic theory about waveguides, which we have experience from earlier courses (and maybe set it as a prerequisite). Then we could have focused more on the latter part of the course and maybe even included filters!»
- The workload on the laboration handin (3D lab) and the date of the deadline of the 3D lab. Also if Vincent could be more understandable.»
- 3D lab deadline, and the treatment of students complains. I was rather upset by Vincent, reasons Of "fairness" for not moving it. In my world its not a competition between me and my fellow students rather we are all here to LEARN something . And with the deadline placed like it was the learning did get a beating, since you would have to proiritize between studing for the examn or doing the lab. And why even change courses if all were to be fair, since it wouldnt be "fair" to have different courses between years, since some student might have had a harder/easier one! »
- Condense the 3D-lab, it is a good laboration but the assignment is too extensive. The lab-pm specified to hand in 3-4 pages, everyone I talked to turned in almost 10 pages.»
- 1. The 3d lab maybe needs clearer instructions, at least for the optimizing part. Also, EMPro should be made available on the computers at Chalmers. You cant"t expect everyone to have a computer powerful enough to run heavy simulation software.
2. The tutorials could be more focused on understanding rather the just solving the problems. It was very much just picking the right equations.»
- Deadline of the 3D lab wasn"t chosen properly.. definitely too late right before our first exam.»

- Thank you for this great course. Maybe it"s tough but i think it is a great course. The course should be modified a little more.»
