- The overall workload were pretty low. However the java programming part took ALOT of time.» (Low)

- The labs are not very interesting. The first web server for example had all the networking bits pre-made, and when networking troubles were encountered the TAs could not help solve them and they were accepted. I still don"t know why so many had the exact same problem and the solution to it. The networking lab was kinda silly, why was it done on windows "home user" computers and not real systems? If not UNIX machines, at least enterprise windows servers?? The networking hardware was at least nice.. Also it would have been nice not having to go to Lindholmen... The last "lab" felt superflous, the questions required no real thought and were not difficult.» (Poor)

- This course need an extreme makeover! It"s very obvious that the administration didn"t put any effort in to making this in to a good course. The slides are VERY boring and they don"t contribute to the learning at all, please update them!»

- The teacher. Two or three times we had some other teachers and those two or three lessons gave me more than all the others.»
- You don"t need some knowledge about Java, you need a lot! »

16. Additional comments

- I think the P2P sections were the most interesting. I would really have benifitted from writing a bittorrent tracker, or perhaps a gnutella server. This could have been the only lab/semi-large project and all parts of the current labs could have been included in this. In general, I think the current labs are not really interesting.»
- I"m so disappointed in this course. I chose it As I thought it could be interesting but the teachers just blew it all. This course could be so good and very interesting and I hope some radical changes will be done»
- Not giving the answers to earlier exams is just stupid and lazy. It really made me upset when I heard that the reason was so that the exams could be re-used. Is it so much effort to write a new one? I want to add that I found answers to a bunch of exams and I will publish them to upcoming attendants of the course. Everyone should have the same opportunity to study for exams!!»
- An important course that could and should be much better than it is at the moment.»
