- Since the CAD course had every lecture at the same time and every excercise too, I went to all lectures but to no excercise session.» (50%)

- i think that there"s too much assignments though and those take a lot of time, plus the project work plus the exam sums up to lots of work» (Yes, the goals seem reasonable)

- For most people it sure did, but some people copied others assignment and just changed a little and got full credits. Some of them have not reached any goals I think and still passed the course.» (To some extent)

- The one with zero-order-hold method was hard until I discorvered the example on the homepage. Then it was too easy. An explanation on how the input to c2d should look like is needed.» (Ok)

- They are really difficult, hard to produce by your self, some discussion with classmates is neccesary. An our per week with teachers and booked computers would be nice. » (Difficult)

- I think that some of the exercise lessions was to stressfull. A tip to the teacher is that he should say the things he writes on the blackboard which would give the students more time to catch up.» (Great extent)

- Maybe using pingpongs built in forum could be a good way to increase communication between students and towards the teacher. Even though the computer assignments are meant to be individual i think alot could be gained by allowing students to discuss the problems between each other and with the teachers.» (Rather well)

- In-humane.. at least one computer assignment less! It seems as you have forgotten that we have other courses parallel to this one. I mean, a hand in after the exam? We do have other exams too.» (Too high)

The education in structural dynamics is reformed and the current courses are replaced with new courses, e.g, fundamental and applied structural dynamics are joined to a single course omitting experimental structural dynamics. Experimental structural dynamics will be the topic of a new course.

- The design-build-test project was good, keep that!»
- I think many TA"s could learn from Peters exercises with some demonstrations and simulations in matlab helping understanding and easing up sometimes tiring blackboard exercises. It is too bad parts of this course has to go as it is a very good course. »

- it"s hard to say, a great majority of things can be just merged but some advanced methods can be skipped in the new course, but the project should be definitely used and maybe include some theory, but then the assignments should be reduced»

- The project is interesting and quite good, but it is severly lacking in directions. Why explain in detail that you need to hold a straw for 1 minute when everything else is lacking in explanations.»
- The number of assignments should be reduced and the course should be more of practical beside the theoretical part.»
- Maybe 4 tasks so you don"t have to do the last one after the study period, the same for the project. »
- Tha examination. There was to high workload in the project, and some students that now has passed the curse does not understand anything of the course. They have copied some others project and then just made some small changes. There should be mandatory to do the written exam, as in FEM Basic and FEM Advanced in the first year of the master.»
- I think some finite element examples should be seen (exercices about lumped matrice etc...) for the project work for for people who have no knowledge of finite element method. These examples were at the end of the quarter and so too late. But I understood quite good with my colleagues even if it was hard.»
- To start off with c.a"s earlier. Not to get one thursday, four days before the exam. I Also dont think that lecture new material on the last opportunity is a good idea.»

- This course feels really out-of-place in the Structural Engineering master programme. But I guess that"s a question for the administration of the master programme, rather than the one for this course.»
- For the structural engineering point of view more focus should be on modelling of structures under dynamic loading. There are many applications that could be covered much better, example excitation under wind load, high speed trains on bridges etc. »
