- I had a lot of conflicting lectures. If I had had the pissibility, I would have had gone to all lectures. Alessandro is together with an examiner in my first year the best teacher on this university.» (50%)

- It was of course hard to test everything in the exam, but I think the exam was a good selection of course topics. One thing: it is important that all students know, before the course starts, how the examination works and how important different parts are (i.e. written exam, project). After the projects were presented Alessandro awarded bonus points to some students by extending the maximum to 13 pts for the project. I understand that this was meant as extra praise for the presentations, but it should have been stated at the beginning of the course. As a student, time is limited and some might have chosen to not do a great project and instead focus on the exam because the project was not so many points. If they had known from the beginning that it would be 13 pts, then they might chosen differently.» (To some extent)
- The course covers a lot of topics, so it is hard to evaluate the students knowledge about them all.» (To some extent)

- It really depends on your ambitions. But to get a 3 doesn"t require that much of effort. To get a 5 you really need to understand the subject though.» (Low)

- The lecture notes could be better. If you missed a lecture or wnat to study for the exam, it"s hard to know from the notes what you should know. »

- Maybe it would be better that the professor use whiteboard much more, for me myself it was usually a little hard to follow all things that Alessandro was just speaking about and not writing or illustrating on the board because when teacher"s speaking lasts for a long time without stop for example for writing something on the board, I lose my concentration after a while.»

- Suggestion: The deadline for the project reports should be friday the week before the oral presentations. Then the reports (at least those from the groups that will do the oral presentations) should be shared with all the other students so that they can read them before the presentations and get a basic understanding of the different projects. This would make it much easier to follow the presentations and participate in the following discussions.»

- If you have taken courses in linear algebra, Fourier analysis and probability theory then this course is very easy.»
