- I got lower grade just due to bad lecture delivering on specific topics and as a consequence I had too few examples on problem solving approaches on that specific topics. » (To some extent)

- Sonja is a good teacher. Johan is not a good teacher. Saeid is a really bad teacher. Please let Sonja give all lecture. » (Some extent)

- Johan and Sonja are good teachers, they are methodical, give clear explanations and follow the schedule. Saied doesn"t do any of the above. At the end of the course I systematically avoided his lectures and tutorials, since he wastes the time talking outside the scope of the lectures and never solves half the amount of problems he should be able to during tutorials. without the slides and tutorial solutions I would have never learned his part of the course!» (Large extent)

- Overall well, but there was never any clear information on how laboratory work is graded. Also our lab assistant never showed up for one of the labs and we therefore needed had lab unprepared lab assistants that lab and had to come back to do a written test.» (Rather well)

- rather good except some difficulties with teacher"s english knowledge which sometime made it harder to understand what he talked about and that was the main reason for me not to ask him questions but rather read the books more» (Rather good)

- I couldn"t join a group to do the lab or other work because of the conflict with my own schedule. But I think the course and teachers supply good opportunities and environment to let students work together. » (Very poorly)

- the load was rather adequate but the load STRONGLY depends on teachers willingness to clarify every topic of the subjects. That is why lacking some clarifications and broaden examples I would say that the workload was High» (High)

- Because of Johan and Saied this course becomes really bad. Sonja should give the lectures.» (Poor)
- To much "you are electronic engineers so you should know this...". I"m not an electronic engineer. Just because the course is a part of the electronic engineering does not mean that all participants are electronic engineers. The course is also part of other master programs... (e.g MPSYS)» (Fair)

- More information about the lab report and more space in it, to be able to write what you want without the primary concern being to keep it short. Saied as lecturer and tutor.»

- One labreport by student (when it is just two pages it would be required for each student to make one themself). »

- The way of teaching some tutorials and theory on induction machines should be more careful and straightforward. The teaching of the types of synchronous machines should be definitely extended. It would be better if not so much effort was put on DC machines and focus more on state of the art types.»

- I would explain much more the PI controller espacially for foreign students like me, who have never got any contact with controllers, feed-back loops, Matlab and so on»
- After having completed this course I am ready to write several suggestions and to specify some topics on which the material should be expanded: - synchronous machines (tutorial problem solving), - induction machines and transformer equivalent circuit.»

- I don"t want to offend anybody, but lectures with Johan often stayed unclear, which lead to deeper self-study.»

16. Additional comments

- The teachers assume that people have a electric bakground and that all will take Electric Drives II and power converter. Do not do that, many are just taking the Electric Drives I and are not going to study anything more in this area.»
- It would be really good to have a "laboration" where you could build your own motor/generator or take one apart. That would be a good exercise!»
- Lecturers should get prepared before getting in class.»

- there was one topic regarding DC drive speed control, so I would recommend to expand the lectures with additional material printed as handouts (not just one that was handed on lecture considering that everyone has sufficient knowledge)and I think that everyone would appreciate teacher"s dedication to the material (not just going through his presentation) and kind of introduction to what this topic deals with. Please, be aware that the students have different background and for somebody it would be difficult to understand the control theory without good references provided by teacher.»

- Learned some about DC-motor. Don"t really feel that the TA"s need to put 5min on explaining what Matlab/SImulink/Blockdiagram is. Rather put more effort on what Star/Delta connection is and how it works etc. (Might be something you should know, but basic PI-control is also something you should know. A basic control course is demanded for taking the bachelor degree..?)» (Some extent)
- The labs could have been had more substance. My group were done with 1,5 hours to spare both times. Also more clear information about which data should be saved for the second lab and the report would have been helpful.» (Some extent)

- Since the assistants weren"t really experts, most of the time was spent learning Matlab/Simulink and not the DC machine and the conclusions could have been reached much easier by an extra lecture, the computer lab felt more like a purpose of it"s own than a good way to learn about the DC machine.» (Some extent)
- I"ve indicated "to some extent" because due to the time limits and the nature of experiment the computer lab was just as calculator without pre-knowledge of what really lays behind the sophisticated equipment. That was just a mean for conducting experiment.» (Some extent)
