Theme 2: Was it good to merge several small groups into one large group?- Yes»- Since there was time limitation there was problem to come to a harmonic supergroup, but we experienced haw to find innovative ideas from two different topics» - Yes, this was a good team challenge, because of the break up of the existing structures and building new ones.» - Yes, if you wanted to simulate group dynamics and the chaos of any industrial endeavour in the beginning.» - I like the idea of taking two different ideas and make a new, but working 8 people in a group for such a short time is not optimal.» - Yes. We never do any projects in large groups, rarely more than two persons, so its good practice.» - Yes.» - Definitely yes. In my opinion it was a great idea that contributes to the improvement of our group abilities and to decrease the workload.» - I personally don"t like big groups, it becomes to hard to plan and organize anything» - Hmm, I guess that it is a training in the project management part, but it is hard working in such a large group.» - No» - Yes but it could be an advantage to know which group you will merge with from the beginning. » - Yes. I think has been good join both groups and begin to work with other people.» - It was a BIG mistake if "small" groups did not work completly good neither big groups. It is too many people and it is really difficult to set an hour to meet that works for everybody and it is also really complex to try to find a way to mix both projects.» - Yes» - Yes that was the most fun part in the course!» 5. Theme 2: Is it good with several choices, or should we focus on one, e.g. popular science, business model, and increase the number of lectures on this particulat topic?- several choices are good»- I think it was good with an overview.» - I believe you should cover the subjects but put more time for theme2» - In my opinion, it would be better to concentrate on one topic. I think the business modell would be the best choice, because it fits perfectly.» - I think you should focus on the business and market side of patenting. This will be useful, even though some students don"t take this seriously at all because it frustrates them. They need to understand that money in itself is not a problem, but the cashflow into a researchgroup or company division could be. The awareness of real-life stakes on a positive cashflow is according to me non-existant in the student group. Some of the people who have worked before or during their studies have some understanding for this.» - I think it is good as it is.» - No, it"s fine» - In my opinion it better to focus on one aspect. And I would prefer Business model. » - I think that it is good to let us know different topics and if anybody wants to study them in depth, they can do by their own» - it were good the way it » - I think that it is good with several choices.» - Popular science has nothing what so ever to do with the course, so that lecture and assignment should be removed.» - Good with several choices.» - Yes, I think it"s better when we have options, even better that we have option to work in a group or individually.» - Since there are participants from several different programmes I think it is a good idea to have some different choices. I"d like more of the project managing part, but that"s mostly because I found it the most interesting part. I could have listened to one of Jan"s lectures every day just for the fun of it (mostly because of the topic, but he"s a good lecturer as well). The patent part will probably be useful in the future, and I think it was covered enough. The popular science and business models felt very much in line with the overall themes of the course and was a nice addition.» - it was good» - I would have appreciated a little introduction to trademarks, what to think about and how to avoid trademark infringement.» - I think it was good.» - Yes, I think considering the fact that the course was for physics students, the scope was very much appropriate.» - Very suitable» - Yes» - To narrow, some things we needed in theme 2 were not discussed.» - i think its a suitable course» 16. Jan! More lectures on this theme! It doesn"t have to be a larger part of the examination, I just wish I could have had more lectures. Also wouldn"t it be better for the target audience in theme2 to be either investors or a top-level manager in a multinational corporation.» - The literature seminar did not live up to my expectations. I wanted to have more time for discussion, and not getting interrupted all the time.» - Make the seminar 3 or 4 hours long, two was to short to discuss more than one article.» - nothing in particular comes to my mind» - All assignments. All literature. Most lectures. Use one or two text books, have a written exam instead of hand-ins and presentations.» - Litterature seminar was great but should definately be given more time, 2h was not nearly enough (especially since Jan talked for the first 30 minutes or so).» - More time for the Theme 2 and to reduce the readings in the literature seminar» - See comments.» - project management hand-out number 5.» - The seminar I do not think that read about 8 different texts give us a really knowledge since as I said this kind of things are not possible to learn from books.» - for getting top grade extra work» 19. Additional comments- none»- The project management part was interesting, however I would have liked to have more applicable information. It would be interesting to discuss group conflict and different ways of dealing with various situations. I think this would have been particularly helpful early on in the course.» - It was a useful course but I think putting papers from other fileds like complex systems, mechanical engineering and ... will be more helpful to students with background other than nano and material scince.» - Thank you very much, for this interesting course!» - I would add a presentation feedback in order to improve the ability of students to speak in public.» - good course» - In my opinion, in the first weeks of the course we did almost nothing to do, and then in the end, when we are more stressed, we had to read the text for literature seminar and do the last group assignment. I think that the tasks could have been more shared among all the weeks.» - Alexander is really rude and unpolite, it seems like he really does not want to teach the course. Jan does not reply the e-mails and his way of teaching is really bad, I do not expect an actor during the lecutre I just want a professor who shares me his knowledge and his experience by the way I can take advantage of it.» - overall course is good and helpful »
