- Many details in the course. Very well planned, executed by teachers. It would be very unfair to say that they did not perform on the highest level. The outcome depends more on the inserted effort of each student I think.» (Excellent)
14. What should definitely be preserved to next year?- tutorials »
- Tutorials, handouts. Most important. The book itself is very good. A lot of formulas though and direct practize, use of, is important then.»
- Home assignment. They force the start of studying and are very relevant for the exam.»
- Erik Haglund for the Exercise sessions –, one of the best I ever had! Very clear explanations and review of the topics from the lecture»
15. What should definitely be changed to next year?- nothing its was great this year»
- Not much, but perhaps move workload from the end of the period to the beginning as much as possible.»
- I think the project could be rethinked/removed. It isn"t linked to the course very well and the requirement: 6 pages and 15(!) min presentation. The page number are ok but 15 min is high.»
- Project should rather begin in the middle of the course and not at the end, Printing the book on cheaper paper and cheaper quality to have a price around 200 Kr. It is a good book, but as a compendium of 200 pages much too expensive.»
16. Additional comments- 1. Would it be possible to perform, report the project before Easter and not as now, the week just before the exam? Earlier deadline for the project-report as well as the presentation?
2. Would it be possible to place the labs earlier and less close to the exam?
3. Radical: Increase the speed of the lectures with a facor of two, 1h lecture, not 2h. This would save time for both teacher & students. The most important is to read the book, solve tutorials anyway. I think the the lectures takes to much time with respect to what they give. The book itself is so good, that lectures do not add so much value....(it does not mean the lectures are bad). A bad book demand more lectures, a good book reduce the importance of the lectures.
Try to have more workload in the beginning of the course, and less to the end so time can be spent on rehersal, pracize, re-thinking etc.
