- The information. There were always kind of an overload. If you need more than half an hour of the workhop time to read through the instructions, there won´,t probably be enough time left to do everything.
The instructions for workshops etc was not available on before so you couldn´,t prepare but have to spend a lot time reading through it.
The unwillingness from the teachers (mainly Anna) to admit that things in the course (exam, examples, theory before starting with the projects etc)might be better in another way. Not especially change-oriented.
Starting working with the project long before we had learnt what we were supposed to do.
The strange rules about how a project group should be put together resulting in groups that hardly find any time to work together since not to groupmembers are taking the same courses but everyone is having a lot of projects in their courses with people they also haven´,t choiced themselves.

- The examination, to long and to many questions. In this cours it would give the students more deep knowledge to have a "hemtenta" instead. This would also make it possible for better reasoning. For me writing an exam for 5 hours and still do not have time enough to answer every question means a very bad grad for the examinor.
It is also bad that the lectures are only hand written since many student have other lectures that inter fear with this course because of elective courses. »

- Lectures - More lectures on the SUBJECT needed. We are actually there to learn the subject, not just to discuss it. PBL does not work in practice. We need the knowledge about the subject BEFORE we are supposed to use it in the project, the result as it now is that we do the project as we"ve always done thing without applying new methods.
You also have to remember that most of us not are management students and that we"re not familiar with all the management terms.
Project - More knowledge needed in order to perform the project. The project was unstructured and it was not clear what it was supposed to be about. We spent too much time just wandering what to do.»

and more real and actual industrial visting, it is really a pity that the SKF visting had been cancelled.»
- A less intensive exam. Felt like I could go on for hours just writing about the different subjects. Maybe consider a home exam?»
- Change the examination. A home exam would give possibilites for a deeper understanding. With the kind of exam we had this time, it is impossible to have time making reflections, regardless of how well you have studied. If home exam is an unthinkable alternative, please, take one question away. Nearly everyone sat the full five hours and still there were no time reading through the answers. No one left before ten past one (with twenty minutes left).
Concentrate the lectures in the beginning of the course so that we have more theory before starting working with the projects.Then we would have more project time in the end of the period. To use the theories in our projects, is a way to understand them. Is the point with the project to help learing, the theory should definitely be presented before we need to use it. »
- The course is very interesting but unfortunately a lot of knowledge gets lost since many students have so little preknowledge in the management area. There is a need for more lectures, maybe a start with many lectures the two first weeks to start up the projects. I know the intentions are that we are supposed to learn more from finding the information ourselves, but that only works to a certain extent. There need to be some kind of guidance to what we should look for and therefor it would have been great with some more lectures in the beginning to start up the work. The EMS-lecture was the only one that really gave something. The structure of having discussions during lecture is great, but it is hard to discuss something you don"t know ANYTHING about.
And, for the exam. Make it a home exam. It is ridiculous to have it as a regular exam, there is no time at all to think through the questions - which in themselves where really intereseting! I would have loved to have a 24h home exam where time for reflection was given. To have to answer every question in ten minutes does not give time to analyse and think through the answers... And i think it would give you more as well correcting a home exam instead of an exam where the answers are not thoroughly written.»

Change the book by Landmarks !! its totally not good at master"s level ...there are many other standard books.

- The project should only be an oral presentation and more effort should be put into disscusion. Also, the oral presentation should be max 20 min if 3 companies are to be considered. There is no need for a written report.

- Make big changes to the course!!! The course has a bad reputation and that"s sad since it is an interesting subject. Make a critical review of the course and reconsider the structure. It feels like you"ve been teaching the course for too many years in the same way.

- The focus is totally wrong. The feedback on the report should be better. If the report is heading the wrong way, say so, so that we learn to be analytic otherwise this course is just a course of testing the analytic ability not to improve it. »

Pump with lectures during the first two weeks so that we as students at once get a chance to carry out the project work in a "fairer" way. Me and my group all shared the feeling of being lost, not knowing in what direction we were supposed to be heading. Confusion is nothing new but made itself bitterly remembered this time.»

My impression, and i know that other students share that impression, is that the teachers were sometimes almost self-righteous. Kind of: we know something that you (and many others) don"t know, and here"s the truth.»
