The guidance given was not always the clearest and it would have been good to know that this gives option for freedom and creativity. Some of the classes like paper workshop that had to be repeated were extremely slow to do at home again and could have perhaps been in a class over 2 days.» (Around 25 hours/week) 2. Genomsnitt: 4.12 - It was very stressful that we did not know from the beginning how many assignments there were. And it was very difficult to know how much time we were supposed to spend on each one. The afterwork of the paper workshop took me over 20 hours and it wasn"t even called an assignment. You never knew before hand when you went to a lecture or an assignment if you would be given a lot more work or no work at all. I think I overworked a lot of the tasks because I did not understand they were such a small part of the course. » (High) 12. How was the total workload this study period?16 svarande

What should definitely be preserved to next year?- The study visits and the workshops were great! I liked Assignment 1, the PPE assignment particularily of the analysis assignments. »- workshops, interesting lectures.» - The lecturers and study-visits. The workshops» - The workshops» - The layout of the course. The availability of experienced people that have workshops and lectures. » - paper workshop» - work shops, assignments» - Interaction with different fields ie Volvo design, as the workshops give evryone an opportunity to do work and gain immediate feedback.» 15. What should definitely be changed to next year?- Tell before hand what is supposed to be handed in at the end of the course! »- tell the students how many assignment that are gonna be done much better description of assignment, if it is free thinking or not. » - The number of exercises and a better structure available on web home page. Better material for the catia.» - Adressing what has to be handed in and when already when the course starts to be able to plan ones time. » - The assignments. More focus on using the tools learnt to apply design languages to concepts or something similar. » - less workload» - The administrator’,s attitude towards students. She has to realize that students are not stupid if they ask questions. » - Less hand ins perhaps, although it does keep a constant flow. This might work better with feedback after certain hand ins to allow individuals to understand their level of work» 16. Additional comments- I understand the point that the tasks in themselves are supposed to be very open and that the student is supposed to understand what is expected. However, sometimes I had the feeling that the examinator and the lectureres had not really talked through what the assignment should be about. For example Assignment 6 was explained in a completely different way during the lecture and in the document that was published later on. »- Hard work, but a lot of fun!» - Björn was good.»
