- fun and good start for studies in Chalmers, though quite hard.» (Excellent)

14. What should definitely be preserved to next year?

- easy to pass, offer advise for writing report, maltab general knowledge acess»
- keep workgroup project, we learn more with other students than alone»
- Keep the handouts. They are great.»
- the large part of the project work»
- Some more informations about the Chalmers Computer system would be nice. Especially for those how are new at Chalmers.»
- the matlab project »
- fishtank with extra assignments»
- introduction to matlab is necessary for exchange students. This course should be definitely kept.»
- The project. Learned alot while executing it.»
- the project»
- give some materials that suggest to read»
- The Matlab project»
- matlab operation»
- the project»
- the project must stay. It"s definitely the best way to learn.»
- the examination system (a project)»
- The project.»
- overall contents »
- maybe more examples should be shown »
- The course project was well-selected, it was challenging and enjoyable. A similar work shall be selected next year.»
- All except what is below.»
- the course is really necessary»

15. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- high program task»
- The hand in problem!»
- the project subject, maybe a little bit more serious , more similar to what we are going to do in future»
- fish tank project can be changed to a simpler project, as this is a just an introduction course to matlab. »
- In my opinion our assignment must be more relevent to our next courses and I think it should be changed for next year»
- Make sure that reports which are handed in correctly reach the examiner. Our did not!»
- The use of the first lab (client-server application) is questionable.»
- should be more literatures»
- more matlab examples »
-
- To increase the number of exercises related with the lectures»
- The formate of the lecture. I would prefer a lecture in which the students can try the contents during the lecture (i.e. having the lecture in the computer rooms).»
- maybe labs instead of a project»
- i cant think about anything»
- I think a small Mathematica project should be included in the coure.»
- no change»
- more instructions during the lecture how to use matlab especially at the beginning, to make it easier to start practising at home. »
- Maybe some hours booked for the project in a computer room with the teacher to help us.»
- More guidance for the project»
- assignment topic»
- maybe the final project work, i think it is a little difficult for some new beginners»
- The course level is not enough for someone who has no programming background to accomplish the project goal. I think the course duration shall be extended, or, a more basic task should be given. »
- nothing but the "fish tank" project. its better to ve smth ralated to vector clalculus etc.»
- The course slides with too much text in it.»
- it should be extended»

16. Additional comments

- generally, the course is rather fine, since it focuses more on learning than hand in results.»
- nice lecture, good ambiance, but you should say something about the students who arrive late: maybe they should come during the break instead of disturbing half of the students. This was the most annoying thing in this course.»
- concentrating more on matlab"s commands would be better for next students »
- There should be more literatures of matlab for different levels.»
- I want a present or something for improving fish appearance! :)»
- It was a good opportunity for me to polish my almost-forgotten programming knowledge.»
- it would be nuce to learn the MATLAB assuming calculations involved in future projects. to enable the student to use the MATLAB as tool #1 rather that excel and other programs. »
