- Martins lectures was really well weighted to find a good opening for reading the book. I stopped going to the excersice classes after a while since I felt I did not learn any extra from these occations. The lecture notes was sufficient.» (75%)

- Perhaps though, it would be better to have some of the cosmology moved to the astroparticle physics course (which could be called Cosmology, really). It is a bit stressed towards the end as it is now.» (Yes, the goals seem reasonable)

- the question 6 took way to much time to solve and the work wasnt directly related to the course» (Appropriate)
- However, some people tended to copy solutions which could be frustrating. The home exam deadline being moved also seemed somewhat unfair.» (Appropriate)
- They took alot of time, but were manageable. Havnt got any results yet though.» (Appropriate)
- The home assignments took almost a week each, without intruding on the lectures, which is doable. I spent almost two hours full time on the home exam, partly because the Gödel problem just didn"t want to come out right at first. It has been a demanding examination, certainly.» (Appropriate)
- As I expected, alot of time spent, though it was self chosen to do well. The Gödel metric was fun.» (Appropriate)
- The two home assignements were on a good level of difficulty. I found the take home exam to be rather difficult with long and tedious calulations.» (Too difficult)

- Martins is a good and pedagogical teacher. Sometimes, especially towards the end of the course I found it difficult follow some lectures. However, I could have perpared myself better by reading in advance!» (Great extent)

- The Weinberg book is good but sometimes a bit hard for a beginner. I personally used some other books, and wikipedia as a complement. » (Some extent)

- I was away during the whole home exam, which made it a bit difficult to collaborate. Didn"t even have internet. But that"s my own fault! =)» (Rather well)

- Bordering on too high. "Free time" did not exist, as well as it being quite stressful with examination over Christmas. However, I do not see how it could be done in another way.» (High)

- The form of the home exam and the hand-ins. I feel I learn much more from this type of examination than a regular exam.»

- I think it was a quite well-composed course in terms of contents and order, so I suggest not making too big changes there.»

17. What should be changed to next year?

- Shorter home exam, would have been nicer to have christmas holiday... »
- The excesrcise classes were sometimes very much out of sync with the lectures some times.»
- I would have liked the result on the home assignments before the exam»
- Maybe consider having a slightly shorter home exam, thus allowing for a possibility of Christmas vacation.»
- Maybe the cosmology part can be dropped since it is so small anyway and that material can be put into astroparticle physics (or what the follow up course is called)»
- Perhaps adding or at least recommending some more litterature than Weinberg. I had a look in a book called "Relativity, Gravitation and Cosmology" by Robert J.A. Lambourne (Cambridge) was very clear and easy to read for a beginner.»
- I think one could consider moving some of the cosmology part - particularly development of the universe, consider dark energy as a scalar field - to the cosmology course. The bit about symmetric spaces, derivation of FRW metric should stay though, as Weinberg"s Cosmology takes that as a given and continues from there. I have heard that the course is supposed to be moved to the third quarter, which would imply a need for a less heavy examination. (You just cannot have a two week home exam when the next study period is just beyond the weekend.)»
- Im not sure if there is any need for change. Though it would be appreciated if the hand ins were to corrected before the home exam and hence could give a hint of how well you are doing and how you should take on the home exam.»
