- The lectures were not suited for me and my classmates. We barely understood anything, even from the start. Also, a couple of our mandatory labwork hours in the other course (EEK140) collided with our lectures in this course.» (25%)

- The teachers, at least in our second course, didn"t care about making sure that lectures didn"t crash. Also, the lectures apparently not being adjusted for newbies, made it a lot harder for us to learn efficiently.» (Yes, the goals seem reasonable)

- As mentioned, it was really hard to get something from the lectures. It"s hard to rember 60 powerpoint slides in one hour---» (Small extent)

- There is not hard to find good literature about the subject, me and my fellow students had to get other material to lern the course. The book, an even more the slides, are so poorely and not pedagogic at all. In fact, some of the material is about protocols (Internet) mostley used during the 90"s.» (Small extent)

- The Web page is like a labyrinth, teacher is missing?!» (Very badly)
- You might think that a course in computer communication would have a nice, easy-to-handle web page. Think again. It is messy, old and students have little access to answers to problem in the book or to past exams. This might be because the exam is just copies of some questions in the book. The teacher hasn"t done much for improving the course. » (Very badly)
- Three times there was suppose to be a lecture but no information that it had been canceled» (Very badly)

- During the half-time evaluation, the teacher didn"t listen to the students comment and when we asked for help, we got snide comments back. » (Very poor)
- Only the lecturer was the one who could answer in a convinient way, not the supervisors/ chinese guys» (Very poor)
- Some, but i did not feel comfortable asking questions since the response were rather poor. (Felt like asking questions was to "pushing" and needy). But this was just outside lectures. » (Rather poor)

- I felt that the course was rather boring and it is incredibly bad that there are not complete solutions to the past exams. There are complete solutions to past exams in every other course that we have had. The lectures fast became very boring. » (Poor)

- new labs or at least new instructions, and remove this crappy exam.»
- The LAb assignment 1, it"s all about JAVA and not datacomm. What if someone doesnt have java background? And lab assignment 3 felt like a assignemnt just to fill out the time, to give us something to do. felt so unnessecary!»
- Better lectures that focuses more on what is really important instead of simply pumping out information during the lectures. »
- Make sure lectures don"t crash with other courses. Make it so that newbies get a more fair chance of passing the exam. With the total workload during the study period (E08), this was nearly impossible for us.»
- Lab 1, because learning Java from scratch took longer time than doing all 3 Labs»

- teachers missing their class too... not just once. worst course on chalmers so far (3 years)»
- Lecturers failed to tell us twice when they were not going to arrive to the lecture hall. I just think I should point that out since it has been the only course where it has happened to me since I"ve been attending to Chalmers.»

- For the first year in a long time was not ALL questions on the exam taken directely from the books review questions. The midterm respons from the teacher regarding the assignment :"- (Marina, via email) we have had a tutorial for the assignment (which was held 2-ice this year)" seems very rude. The reason for the tutorial to be held twice was due to the fact that the responsible teacher did not show up in time the first time. And to be given the same info twice does not make anything clearer.»

- If there is no lecture on the schedule, write it on the web so that not 50% of the students mis- interpret it. Also, advertise that you can at any time visit (phd students and examinator) when having questions.»
- MR. Ali from lindholmen who guided the lab was really pedagogical and we had a good lab opportunity, we learned alot.»
