- I have done the individual project but not the home exam yet. The individual project is somewhat assessing if i"ve listen to the lectures and made the pressure projects (which i guess is if i"ve reached the goals).» (I don"t know/have not been examined yet)
- Since there were no real guidelines (or "freedom" as you say) it was really hard to know what to do, if we were on the right track or had reached the goal. I have no idea if I have reached the goals.» (To some extent)

Genomsnitt: 2.84 - Almost none. This might be the worst course I have ever taken. The only thing we listened to was some people talking about their work, very boring.» (Small extent)
- Even if the teachers knew that the projected area was not very big, they still used a very small font. Teachers are very "designy", and students with an engineering background have a hard time understanding some things, we are used to having clear guidelines.» (To some extent)

- The only reason I"ve learnt anything at all is by talking to the teachers during the pressure projects. Unfortunately I think the lectures are quite hard to grasp since I have nothing to relate to before i"ve done the projects.» (Great extent)

- I"ve read most of the texts in the course reader and sometimes they give another viewpoint of a method. I thought it was easier understanding the lectures if I did read the corresponding article in advance.» (Some extent)
- I took an opportunity to read some of the other books that were mentioned in class (primarily the first lecture), e.g., "Design Methods" and found them worthwhile. A more developed reading list posted somewhere...suggested readings...would be great to see.» (Great extent)

Genomsnitt: 2.76 - Why did you place the home exam in January from the beginning? The re-exam week is for re-exams. And on top of that, we don"t want to work 25 hours extra for no extra points. All material could have been published on the internet.» (Very badly)

- Electronic copies should be made available of the required readings. It seems strange to have a project exploring CO2 impact and then require everyone to purchase paper products that could easily be distributed digitally.
Additionally, it would be quite helpful to have the course calendar set up as a shared calendar that can be subscribed to (e.g., Google Calendar). This way, we can simply set up our own calendar clients and be notified if anything changes, instead of proactively checking the course website every day.» (Rather badly)

Genomsnitt: 3.38 - The only time when I would have wanted more help was in the beginning of the individual project. I would have appreciated some guidance in what the task actually was, this was not really possible through email» (Rather good)
- On the pressure project, it was ok. The home exam on the other hand, should have had something more than just e-mail supervision. » (Rather good)
- Over all very good when present. However, there were areas where both teachers are not quite on the same page and it can cause confusion. - As i sais, very bad course. It has to be removed, or drastically changed. I have wasted a whole study period.» (Poor)
- One responsible for teaching and one responsible for examination. Both teachers are not really available at Chalmers. We are taught one thing and examined on another. Hard to perform the individuall project and to know what was supposed to be done.» (Fair)

- It"s hard to answer this question because I think it is a good course, the teachers are very good at what they do. But I think it is hard to understand what the course is about - methods, fair enough. But I think you understand this course better if you had some experience of using some methods before. Some methods seems rather useless, it doesn"t feel like you really achieved anything.» (Good)

13. What should definitely be changed to next year?- I don"t know, maybe some kind of "pre-course" to this course. So that you understand what this course really is about before it is too late.»

- The final excercise should be located at an earlier stage.»
- Plan the course! It is unacceptable to have a home exam on the holiday break and re-exam week. The deadline should be before christmas. Make the work load even throughout the course. Check if there are any days that should be lecture free (arbetsmarknadsdagar). All this should be obvious in all courses.»
- The person grading the class should be the instructor and present throughout the entire period. It would also be good to get more feedback, especially withe individual project prior to completing the final home exam.»
- The pressure projects were a joke. Spending a whole day creating a YouTube video that doesn"t even mean anything? It"s ridiculous.»

- Some guest lectured were really booring (The one about aiding beginners in a language for instance)»
- The idea of the course is very good, but I have felt a lack of understanding towards the students with an engineering background. »
- A part of me thinks that perhaps this course comes too early in the program for some people, as I quite often heard others complain that they couldn"t wrap their heads around the intent of the course (still thinking "solution" instead of "process"). But I"m not sure if pushing it back to the second year would be that helpful. I think this class is, though, much more useful if you"ve worked professionally and can quickly see how useful methodologies can be.»
