- I have studied at chemical engineering chalmers and we halve already covered all the material that was given about the HX and energy equipment. What was new was how we used pinch analysis and the GCC togheter with economics and choice of mix technology. All this should be given a deeper and more advanced coverage.» (No, the goals are set too low)

- The exam was too theoretical and did not test my knowledge in several important topics (e.g. heat pumps, load duration curves)» (No, not at all)
- In lectures we were not shown all the materials asked in the exam.( They were so much easier, while in the exam...) There were so many things we were supposed to memorize or learn from other outschool material. There were hours where we could exercise but not enough to understand the courses goals. » (No, not at all)

- I honestly do not know how I did on the exam. The questions were unclear at times and quite different from the projects we did in the course. I have spoken to several classmates and they all feel the same. I feel the exam questions should relate more to the projects than they did and that the theory questions should be clearer.» (To some extent)

- In my opinion there were too many lectures compared to the course material. The lectures could easily be shortened and some of them felt like they only added incremental more knowledge.» (Some extent)

- Hanna was very helpful and friendly made a good job and motivated us. However i felt that the person who presented the facility at renova could have tried to look up the english phrases for the different unit operations and facilities at the plant. » (Very interesting)

- I think 7 projects was one too many, would have been nice if the last week was only meant to catch up on those I had return to do. Skip P4 next time is my suggestion.»
- They were all relevant and one feels that much time has been put into them. But for the more motivated student I felt that there was really not enough hard and challenging tasks in the course. You should to every week add one or two demanding non compulsory tasks. That would make the course even more fun. »

- I think the best way is to both have them obligatory, and bonus points if the are approved in time before the before the exam. - I do not understand why we could not choose the project groups ourselves. Me and my two friends all ended up in different groups so we all sat alone working, since most other people had someone they knew in their group. - I felt that Jonas sometimes failed some of my project exercises when he should not. It is not necessary to fail when not enough significant figures, or miscalculations but logically correct solutions. This leads to much waste of time. However I feel that he was really helpful and friendly and did an excellet job otherwise.» (Excellent)

- To many students in each project group! A lot of time was spent just waiting for assistance from Jonas (who tried his best).» (Rather poor)

- We have a lot of projects and I think we should offer more time for the projects.»
- The exam should have been more practical so that we would show that we acctually can perform pinch analysis and know how to make calculations on heat pumps and energy systems. Also skip one project.»

31. Additional comments

- Good course, bad exam.»
- I dont think the exam layout is good enough. There are five questions and you need 50% points to pass. To make it more fair there should be more questions with less points each, to test a larger part of the course. As it is now it is a lot of gambling. If you are lucky (and get the right questions) you get a 5, if you are unlucky you fail. The knowledge you have, not the questions on the exam, should decide what grade you get.»
- I am really satisfied with the staff on the course and I felt that everyone really wanted to help and teach. Thanks for a on the whole good course!»
