- Exam is covering mostly everything. But exam is mainly about remembering (and not that much about understanding) which is not really usefull.» (To some extent)

- The professor"s English is really good. But I am not good enough to catch every word. So I always can not understand the content of lectures fully.» (To some extent)

- I do not find it useful, neither for the Network Security course nor for the Criptography one. Also, many chapters (eg. part of User authentication, DoS, Firewalls, Intrusion Detection) are found in the "Computer Security - Principles and practice" book not in the one I bought. It is also quite expensive considering that I use it only for max. 7 chapters» (Yes)

- Doesn"t worth it. Book was used for too few chapters. Having the book as ebook at library would be nice. Or maybe just using additional content and not the book.» (Yes)
- I did not get much help from the book. Lot of Network Security topics are missing, and the topics in it may be hard to grasp, they need to be read very carefully, details often only given once despite the rich amount of text. The book is better for Cryptography I guess.» (Yes)
- The book is okay, I was a little irritated that there is some "online chapters only" for the course, but that subsided when I saw that they were availiable as pdf:s for offline reading. It"s a big plus that it is shared with the Cryptography course.» (Yes)
- That it was a bit waste of money. I take the cryptography course last year so I had not use of that part. I also had the book in computer security so lots of things was covered in that book. Aftewords I am thinking that it had been enough with that book and the reading material on internet.» (Yes)
- The book was good overall. Always annoying with web chapters though. Another critique is that the level of detail was quite varying between the different chapters. Some (SSL and IPsec if I remember correctly) went quite deep while other (IDSs and firewalls) were comparably of a more high level.» (Yes)

- My experience from books from courses like these is that they write a lot but give too little information per page. Reading all the pages in the book just decreases one"s chance to get a good grade, or to even pass. It is too time consuming!» (No)

- We were expecting to some more elaborate detections (Xmas scan attacks for example), not just string match in payloads.» (Grade 2)
- Didn"t know at all what to look for when we got there. The TAs should give some hints in the beginning of the lab that we were supposed to look for some strings in the data payload etc. That would"ve saved me 3 hours :/» (Grade 2)
- Perhaps more focus (questions?) on identifying the attacks to what was the intended info gain by the attacker, than just state facts?» (Grade 3)
- The subject is really interesting but all studets are confused because lab documentation and instruction was not clear enough. and We don"t know what to expect. we can learn more ebout IDS:s but ambiguous instruction slow down the lab speed» (Grade 3)

- My group had to wait for over an hour for help in the firewall lab. This despite there being two (Laleh and Arne) TAs available. This is a lot of time for a laboration which is supposed to take four hours in total!» (Rather poor)
- Thomas: you could stay in the lecture room for 30sec longer before you go. Some ppl want to ask small questions after the class.» (Rather good)

- The only thing that is keeping the course from excellent is the exam. It is really hard to know at what level you want the answers. E.g. 5a Explain on a fairly high level how this protocol works... What is a fairly high level :). Maybe i"m to much of a stiff engineer for these kind of exams...» (Good)
- Very good teaching which was very well connected to the literature.» (Excellent)
- Labs assistants are not enough to help students where they stuck on a problem. and each student has to wait for a long time to ask a question» (Excellent)
