- Actually, the course book that was chosen was so heavy and tough that even the teacher couldn"t cope with it! and that was natural. Come on! nobody can teach such a book in less than 2 months. I really don"t know what was the goal of choosing such a book!!!» (Small extent)

- This course is very expensive for erasmus students:
You have to buy the book, because there are not all informations in the lecture. Then you have to buy the book with the formulas. Because it is not allowed to take other transformations-tables to the exam. And then you have to buy a Chalmers proved calculater (But the Professor can"t tell you what models of calculaters are proofes). After you have bought this new calculater, you can read in the exam that every calculater is allowed. But before in every Hand-out you could read that only the Chamlers proved is allowed. :-(» (Some extent)

- The course should end before Christmas, not after. Because of the oral examination in January I will receive my Master"s degree several weeks later than planned. This can create large problems for students leaving Gothenburg after finishing their studies.
Why aren"t the students allowed to plan their own time? I can understand deadlines for hand-ins during the course but why aren"t the assignments handed out all at once? It seems like the examinator had taken for granted that attending the course is equivalent to being available at school all the time during the course period. » (Very badly)

Eftersom läraren var bortrest sista veckan och inte svarade på några mail va det helt omöjligt att få reda på någonting så.Handledaren fick inte ens tag på honom. - I had some bad luck with my groupmates. One was lazy and one didn"t know matlab, so I did most of the work myself. This is ofcourse not someting that I blame on the course staff/organization. » (Rather poorly)
- Admitting exchange students to the Master"s programs without assuring that they have the necessary language skills is a disaster. The other students surely can cope with project team members not being able to communicate, and thereby contribute, but it is not fair for the exchange student who pays a lot a money to travel to and live in Gothenburg without being able to follow the lectures and pass the exams.

- Very bad tutorials and an exam that had almost nothing to do with the things brought up during the course. Everything "applied" (labs and homeassignments) were ok but the exam and tutorial felt like it didn"t fit in the course.» (Poor)
- Badly planned and administrated. The teacher went away the last week without informating about exam material, updating tutorial assignments, holding oral exam (persponed to january) or answering questions. The exam didnt identify with the course material. All teachers where not interested in helping at all. The last laboration was quite useless and led to an even more useless oral exam. Strange way to determine a grade (with a formula which wasnt weighted per points). » (Poor)
- Another problem of mine, was one of the TAs. He corrected my hand-in assignment so badly that nobody even the other TA couldn"t imagine. He gave me a zero while I had done a lot of work on that assignment. Come on! what does that mean? Should there be any difference between a student who has done something and one who hasn"t handed anything in or not? Of course there must be. I think giving this much power to a TA is not a good idea at all. This can affect the final grade of students severely and more important, it can kill all the enthusiasm of the student who is suffered.» (Poor)

- Exercise sessions should focus on theory and should assume that students have done the problems. Having students do the problems in class with TA"s that don"t know too much is a bad idea! Also knowing beforehand what problems to do for each exercise session is a minimum requirement.»

The exam should be read through so that there are not 20 errors, very frustrating for the students and very disrespectful from the teacher. The reports should be corrected within a few weeks after handed in, if the students are supposed to hand them in, the teacher should be able to correct them in time. »

Make sure that the exam has been proof-read before the examination. It is not acceptable that five of six exam questions have typos, especially when the typos render the questions incoherent, e.g. question 1.
The lab material used in lab 2 (echo cancellation) was extremely instable.
The grading system. Use the traditional system with a normal exam and bonus points for the labs and hand-ins.
Equalize the workload between the lab projects. Lab 1a demanded a fair amount of time while lab 1b was just a copy-and-paste exercise. Also, hand out the two parts at the same time so that the students don"t risk doing the same things twice and so that the assignment will be easier to understand.
Proof-reading. Please proof-read hand-in assignments, the written exam and the lab projects instructions BEFORE handing them out.»
- The last oral exam should not be after deadline for this evaluation. And I think to this deadline should be later, I Think this last examination should be earlier.
The workload should be smaller. The results should be published earlier. There should be old exams too learn or the exam should be more similar to the excercise or a test-exam without grading, so that you know what would be the main points of the exam.»

the exam did not have the content that tomas stated on the homepage. i thought the exam would have more system and understanding feel to it. but it turned out that there was alot of calculations, which tomas said it wouldn"t be.»

- It"s not ok to have so many errors in the final examination thesis. But i guess you already know this.»
- Tomas is kind, but not in a good way of teaching. He should study from 2 Eriks(Erik Strom and Erik agrell). We need slides, not copying notes in the lecture, which makes that we have no time to consider but just copy. About the 2 TAs, the lady is kind but her voice in too low, and she should explain the solution to us, and the angry guy should be changed. Too many projects in this quarter and without enough guild, oral exam is useless, we need to understand the content instead of memorizing it. And the written exam is too bad, we didn"t get enough information from the teaching staff.»

enskilde studenten att kunna planera och ha framförhållning.
Finns mycket dålig information på vad som kan pluggas på. Exempelvis har
det legat ett dokument på hemsidan med övningsuppgifter som gås igenom på
övningstillfällena. Detta dokument innehåller bara lv 2 uppgifter, sedan
dess har det inte blivit uppdaterat.
Den sista muntan som hålls för projekt 3 har inte läraren lyckats planera
in denna period. Eftersom projektinlämningen inte ska ske förrän fredag
innan tentaveckan så hinner man inte med att ha muntan innan lovet.
Dessutom är läraren bortrest lv 7, så man har inte möjlighet att göra
muntan tidigare. Ganska stressande att inte ha möjligheten att avsluta
kursen under planerad tid.
- Poängen
Hela kursen är uppbyggd på att studenter genom bra arbete skall kunna
klara kursen utan att behöva skriva tentan. Detta förutsätter dock att man
fått reda på sina poäng innan tentatillfället, eftersom poängen från
projekt och handin endast gäller ordinarietentan. Eftersom sista muntan
inte görs förrän efter jul är detta omöjligt. Dessutom har vi fortfarande
inte fått reda på poängen på varken muntorna eller projekten ännu och då
är det 7 dagar kvar till tentatillfället. Eftersom man som student ofta
har mer än en tenta så kan prioriteringen på hur mycket pluggtid man
lägger på de olika tentorna definitivt bero på hur många bonuspoäng man
har samlat ihop.

projekt 2- fredag lv 7, uppgiftsbeskrivning utlämnad mån lv6
Kunde kanske även ha påbörjat inlämningarna tidigare, så att inte sista
datumen blivit i lv 7.
- Tenta
Eftersom det är första året som man har tenta i denna kurs, finns inga
tidigare tentor att plugga på. När man då inte har några direkta
uppgifthänvisningar och heller inga direkta sidhänvisningar, är det mycket
svårt att veta på vilket sätt tentan är utformad och vad den kan komma att
innehåll. Vad som finns är ett planeringsdokument som innehåller titeln på
varje föreläsning.
-Kommunikationen med läraren
Vad som troligtvis är det som är mest irriterande förutom det att man inte
får reda på vilka poäng man får, är att det stundtals är mycket svårt att
få tag på läraren. Man får en uppfattning om att han svarar på de mail som
han känner för. Bland annat har ett mail för ungefär en vecka sedan
skickats angående vad som man bör koncentrera sig på inför tentan. Detta
har vi ännu inte fått något svar på, inte ens ett mail där det står att
han inte kan svara på detta. Eftersom han är bortrest denna veckan har man
istället valt att prata med övningshandledarna, men då dessutom dessa
verkar ha mycket svårt att få tag på honom, börjar man känna sig något
uppgiven.
