Genomsnitt: 2.6 - There is much good reading, but almost no examples and the existing examples feel trivial. Then comes the home assignments which are much more complex problems. And since almost all tasks that are in the book are also home assignments, so naturally there is no solutions. This means that students have no use of these tasks for home study since one is basically studying blind so to speak.» (Some extent)

Genomsnitt: 2.9 - the home assignments were not intuitive in how they were supposed to be carried out. The understanding was not the hard part, but understanding how Kjell wanted it to be represented or used with the given resources.» (Not so helpful)
- But it"s kind of unfair that it is immensely hard to solve the home assignments with just help of the book (jeppson"s). Students were more or less forced to attend the lectures to be able to solve the assignments.» (Very helpful)

- But the IT system and Cadence it self are in many cases a cause for problems when it just randomly stops working and such.» (Rather helpful)

It made the time required for all the various assignments along with the rather bad group experience utterly impossible. There is no way you can spend days in a lab button-mashing keyboard and trying, trying, trying to understand and perform the task at hand.» (Too high)

- They would have been better had you really had time to understand them, and if they would have had a more pedagogical format, so you could focus on the learning and topic instead of trying to understand the format the assignment was given in, and how you should incorporate it.» (Good)

- The home assignments were fun and interesting, but you had to put a lot of time on them. Til next year maybe they should be less time consuming.
And also the introductory lab, just to get to know Cadence. VERY good!»
- Home assignment, even if it"s time consumming, it was a good way to review the week lecture and to make exercises. »
- Labs working with cadence are very useful and should be preserved to next year. the home assignments also were very useful»

- the course book must be much more complete with examples and solutions to problems, and many more problems for home study are needed»
- The labs were very fun, but unfortunately the teaching assistants were a bit lost and when they fixed something they were not able to explain how they did it. »
- More practice and exercises would have be appriciated.»
- Re-focus the course, streamline it according to either hands-on or theory and please drop the efforts taken to try to cover all bases through this and the VHDL parallel course. You can"t hardly do that with only 2 courses, it becomes too unfocused.»
