- I participated both lectures and lab exercises. Lab exs were very informative, I liked those, even though it was difficult to hear what was spoken there. Lectures helped a little bit, but they could have been better. There were good lectures and bad lectures. For some of the lectures introduction to the topics was very short or there was none. Slower pace, more explanation and less topics covered in the lectures would help more in learning. » (Large extent)

- I have read course books, slides and quizzes. Books were good and helpful. Slides were sometimes full with equations and other un-informative stuff, that nobody explained even in the lectures. - Lecture slides were put to web pages often too late regarding submitting quizzes. I missed one lecture because I couldn"t get any information about the class room. I knew that we were supposed to comment on the quizzes, but I had no idea where. And when I did, it was too late. Discussion group seems to be too difficult to follow, since there are over 500 posts. Those should be grouped somehow in advance.» (Rather badly)

But It is very good once I found the team and I enjoyed the Team work.» (Rather well)
- There were 3 of us in the group and one of us was a chinese guy, who didn"t understand almost anything in english and he lacked initiative. So we 2 remaining members ended up doing the most of the stuff and it went well.» (Rather well)

- The only positive result of this approach is that one is forced to continiously make an effort to understand and read up on the subjects that are presented in the lectures. - Oly gets a brief overview is given for most of the subjects discussed in the course and therefore it is sometimes difficult to fully comprehend all the material that is presented. - The lecture notes could be made clearer, and contain a more explanatory text. Also, there is little point in presenting complex equations if these are not to be used in calculations. Instead, more precise descriptions of the physical processes should be included. Alternatively, one could put more focus on these equations and include some calculation exercises in the course.
Finally, some more information should be provided on what is expected from the poster session and how the poster should be constructed.»
