6. To what extent has the teaching been of help for your learning?

- The lectures are too short to explain in details all the information present in the handhouts. That is why it is surprising of seeing that some very little details are asked during the examination. » (Some extent)
- the slides was really godd apert from those Lars and Uta had they would be better with some more text on them so you could understand them better even if don"t remenber everything they said on the lectures. since there are no course book that would be great to fix.» (Large extent)
- Johans classes was good but some of the other teachers wasn"t. Lars Nyborgs slides about Auger etc. should have more explanation. The Chinese lab-teacher didn"t speak good english, i didn"t anything. » (Large extent)

- Slides was all I studied.. ASM was too big to grasp.» (Some extent)

- Because we don"t have any book in this course it is good that the power point slides contains a lot of information. It makes it easier to study and know what is most important. The slides from the lectures by Lars and Håkan could contain more describing text» (Great extent)

- some talk to much in the classroom. Could be good to try to keep as much as possible the same groups as in the other course here too» (Rather good)

15. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- some guest lecturers should improve their slides so that one can work with them even when one missed the class»
- More indepth teaching on the material = maybe more hours of lecture»
- Håkan Wirdelius lecture seemed to me totally irrelevant. Also a stricter policy on classroom environment should be applied for next years course. It was extremely hard to focus sometimes due to talking and running in and out of doors.»
- I think everything is ok.»
- Every test method may be added the practical classes for our better understanding of the methods»
- Wide range of different topics in a course can not be useful and would be hard to handel»

- Students should be offered questions (possibly from a literature source such as a textbook) to aid the learning process. Questions do not need to be calculations. Currently the course consists of a large mass of information, and the student should be given the possibility to monitor his/her learning process by questions on the material.»
- XPS and Auger need much more explanation to be clearly understood, they should either be excluded or given more attention.»
- try get electronic handouts for all lectures, hard read small text in printout slides. (or print these slides in fever slides/A4)»
- the course about NDE is "strange" and maybe it will be fine to give marks or additionnal points for the study case or get point for the lab report. Most of the other course do this»

- There was a misfit between the quality of lectures and latter expectations. I would advise a closer, slower teaching.»
- The course is very interesting and the teachers do a good job. Questions on the course material would be appreciated.»
