- I have not seen this year"s exam yet, but the old exams cover the course quite well.» (I don"t know/have not been examined yet)
- i did not have the math courses that you were recommended to have to take this course so that is why i think the course goals were a bit to high. Were math is not a concern i think the goals were good» (Yes, definitely)

- I thought the 10 point on the GSPN was not fair. 1/6 of the exam was one GSPN! Should have been 5-6 points max. I also thought the questions on TTA paper were to specific. » (To some extent)

- Mostly good lectures. The only problem was that we got some way off the lecture schedule towards the end because of discussions (which could have been taken as private conversations in the break) taking a lot of time.» (Large extent)

- The course book is pretty good but the connection between it and the lecture material was sometimes a bit unclear.» (Some extent)
- The exercise PDFs helped me a great deal with both learning and understanding the mathematics. The course book didn"t seem very useful. The various texts available as course material were all interesting, but didn"t contribute much to my learning.» (Large extent)
- great book and good papers (the taxonomy paper was extra good)! but i struggled to understand the math which was not covered by this course (not unexpected but a few more pointers of where to find information about the math would be greatly appreciated)» (Large extent)

- some time slot to ask questions about exercises in the compendium other than in breaks/end of exercise session would be good» (Rather good)
- By chance, we only got help by Risat during the labs, but he was excellent at explaining. The other parts of the course were either simple or well made enough for me to understand without asking any questions.» (Very good)

13. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- I did not see the point of the course book, other than to give a deeper understanding of topics not covered in the course. Also, the guest lecture by Saab Aeronautics was interesting, but only the part about voting planes felt like something I could make use of. Finally, it would have been interesting with more information related to fault-tolerant software. Right now, I doubt I will have use of this course in any future job since I study the programming specialisation track of MPDCS.»
- adding time for questions about exercises. adding a little more about software approaches to fault tolerance (eg fault injections, how recovery and similar things are done in software)»
- Maybe add some additional reading material on markov models, reliability and availability modeling. »

- sometimes we couldn"t be convinced by TA even she was right she couldn"t explain in way we get it. if teacher comes at end of some sessions, not only last session, and clear the dark points it would help. - why here is no question about lab and exercises?»
