- We try to to make all projects available on a course homepage at studieportalen. Normally, a project made at Chalmers is a part of a PhD project (about 50%), the others are made at a company.» (?)

15. If it varies a lot, what does that depend on?*

- If I am the main supervisor (not just examiner) I typically meet the students at least every other week, but it can be more often depending on the type of project and the students abilities to work independently. Whwn I am examiner and there is another main supervisor (a PhD student or someone at a company) I typically meet the students + supervisor 4-6 times during the project. In addition, I usually meet just the students to give feedback on their thesis report. »
- If they have an engaged supervisor at the company and stays there or if they are abroad I only meet/talk to them occasionally. If they are at the department it is daily. Soemtimes they do a part of their experiments at the department which makes the supervising more concentrated in periods»

- When i am just examiner, the main problem I have to deal with is that some students are not very good in writing. (I dont think the major problem here is the language (english) but rather the ability to write well structured, clearly and understandable» (Content- students understanding the problem, Content-providing a reasonable solution, Technical issues e.g. equipment not working, Language-writing in English)
- It is highly varying! We spend a lot of time in the beginning to coach them in the process of understanding the problem if it iresearch based - if it is company based the problem often is more closed. The logic of the text is a common problem for all on the other hand.
