- less home assignements. Maybe 4 is enough»
- First of all, the exam. I have written many exams at chalmers and this was the first one I failed, allthough having aquired a suffient knowledge to be well above the limit. I"m not a first-year student, I know when I know something nowadays. Also, the exam wasn"t totally matched to the course. There were hardly any tutorials until very late, and doing all calculations was very though. It was practically impossible to do anything without the tutorials and the handouts therefrom. And the calculations on the exam required a lot of work, not just knowledge. Filter and matching assignments have been rather rare on earlier exams, and having two of such a kind on the same exam was...unexpected, to say the least.»
16. Additional comments- Good lectures. Good handouts. Good that the lectures didn"t consist of reading the hand outs out loud. Good tutorial hand outs, they are essential for the students. To do the excercises without examples to follow, just the formulas and text from the book, is very hard in this course.
From what I have understood, the tutorials are held later inthe course for us to have lectures on as much as possible before the labs. Yet, what was needed to make the labs were not learnt until afterwards anyway. »
