- NN could not help us designing passive house, her advices were only about the measurments of rooms. - We had a lot of useful lectures. However I found it very hard to reach information to measure energy efficieny of my house. The lectures and exercises were not enough for us to understand how the system works. That caused most of us to fail in building a passive house. » (Insufficient)

- I strongly argue that we did not get enough information on solar panels and gaining energy for thermal needs. Electrical gain from solar cells were several times explained, but heating systems and how to integrate the solar gain to heating system were left unsupported.» (Very insufficient)

- Only one note, the goals at some point became very vague, causing uncertainty about the final amount of work needed and the overall focus of the project. I was confused about the aim, was it urban design or more about the detailing of an urban area (structural details). Perhaps the fact that the time frame was sort (2 to 3 weeks), made the goal difficult to reach. » (Yes, the goals are reasonable)

- one more week would absolutely make the differnce. The project outcome would be better and the ambitions of making something extraordinary. The time is just enough to make an OK project with existing solutions. That of course depends on what you expect. but dont expect magic in this timeframe.» (Too wide scope in relation to credits)

- There were several clashes in the course information. From the beginning, is this exercise aimed for a "passive house" or a "plus energy house"? Some papers in the portal says passive, some says plus energy. Most of the students in my group were confused about this basic information, and we agreed on "it wasn"t well defined". So we aimed on designing a passive house. Also the delivery time for the course was a failure for me. It was 16th of april friday from the very beginning, but suddenly on thursay the digital delivery was pulled to monday. I would have planned a better schedule for myself if the deadline was set on a definite time. Some student studied on weekend as well, which means they had 2 more days than I had. I didn"t want to work on the weekend, and I would have felt more safe if all the student have the same conditions.» (Very bad)
- Some requirements writen in the assignment paper were enventually cancled since we didn"t got enough skill to reach it, like the energy balance calculation, which was a pity.» (Rather bad)

- The reason I can"t say "very well" is that I would have more consultation time with the architects. Half an hour time was definitely not enough. Also for the peak power calculations, I think we needed another consultation for that. It would be more reasonable to reach the passive house standards if we had assistance for calculations before we hand in the project.» (Rather well)

16. What shuold be changed the nest year?

- Could the teacher make an appointment with a passive house owner, so that we could go and visit his house? May be a visit to example of combined system of solar power for both thermal and el .»
- more time for the final project (hand-in on friday this week for example would have been just the amount of time needed) more tutoring (2 a week to speed up our design researches)»

- The requested deliveries were a lot. From water management of the site to swedish standards of a house, from urban scale to detail scale, there were many points that was asked from us. Because of this reason we couldn"t be able to fulfill all the requirements for a passive house. If this exercise were longer than Exercise A in terms of time, or the expected deliveries were less than wanted, I believe we would be able to focus on passive calculations much more. So I wish next year there will be more consultations (at least tree, 1 for the peak power calculations) and less demands for a project.»
